Designed for proof testing of optical fibers and rewinding fibers and ribbons.
APPLICATIONS
A maximum speed of 3,000 m/min can be reached with high winding quality at all speed ranges.
Fiber is tested by loading the fiber with a particular force between two capstans.
Precise automatic turning correction reduces operator errors. Accurate proof testing tension and accurate length measurement are guaranteed. The OFC 35 has a small footprint and long operating life. Ergonomics and user-friendly design enable comfortable and simple operation.
Latest fiber strength research and theories have been utilized when designing Proof Tester OFC 35. There are two possibilities for proof testing unit i.e. short test length and long test length. There are one to three loops between the capstans to form the long test length. option for large pay-off and take-up reels
Pay-Off and Take-Up Effective winding even at high speeds is guaranteed by efficient servo motors and special-purpose dancers with horizontal loops. The take-up has an automatic turning point control, which corrects the winding during the run.
Pay-Off Unit
All three pay-off and take-up alternatives have traversing movement. The lightest version is used with small reels. The large version is mainly used with big reels coming straight from the drawing tower but it can be used in take-up for ribbon rewinding. Optionally, winding tension can be measured.
Take-Up Unit
Ribbon Rewinder The OFC 35 can be equipped for ribbon rewinding. In this case the machine has only one capstan and all the turning and guiding wheels are designed for ribbon. All ribbon widths are possible up to 36-fiber ribbon. A combination fiber proof tester and ribbon rewinder is also possible. In this version there are two capstans and separate guiding wheel sets for ribbons and fiber.
