Offering Multi-Services over Fiber Optics YG1600F The advantages of YG1600F are its simple usage and a vast feature of integration and configuration. The YG1600F achieves this goal by aggregating 16 G.703 E1 data streams over a redundant fiber link and utilizing diversified modular design. With its combined interfaces on tributary E1, Serial Data and 10/100 LAN ports, the YG1600F easily connects to SDH/PDH network as well as maximizes application flexibilities at users’ premises. The 1+1 optical line Automatic Protection Switching (APS) provides fiber redundancy. While operating in APS mode, signal transport is switched form Main to Standby Card if a failure occurs in Main Card or a faulty fiber is being identified. YG1600F features Automatic Laser Shutdown preventing laser device from unnecessary transmitting when no optical signal are received from the remote peer. YG1600F is equipped with an Alarm Card, which output user configurable visible and audible alarm via dry delay contact, notifying network administrators for a prompt attention. It can be managed locally by connecting a VT-100 emulated PC to the CID port or remotely through Telnet/SNMP access all on front panel of the unit. Administration, Maintenance, and Provisioning (OAM&P) are provisioned with the use of 512Kbps embedded operation channel (EOC) that runs through the fiber link. Configured with individual IP address for local and remote unit, YG1600F is accessible to the Internet users who manage the units from a far end place. The Order Wire feature offers craft person handy voice call over the fiber links for management or maintenance purpose. To ensure operation continuity and accommodate field requirement, YG1600F offers power redundancy and multiple choices of AC and DC power. For instance, YG1600F-2F-13-S-ER-ER-DB-L-AD means the unit is equipped with dual fiber module, for 1330nm operating wavelength with SC duplex connector, having two 4E1, Data port+4E1, and LAN+4E1 interface cards for user application and powered by AC+DC redundancy sources.
Application
The YG1600F transports up to 16E1 signals from the near end to the remote peer via a single mode fiber pair (transmit/receive) that has an optical budget up to 30 dB. YG1600F offers diversity of interface sub-cards enabling transport of E1, V.35 serial data and IP traffic simultaneously over the point to point fiber link. Using all of the 16E1 bandwidth, TDM services traverse across the SDH/PDH network to the remote office as illustrated below in the Figure A.1.
