HOW TO USE YOUR OKI RECYCLING BIN 1) ASSEMBLING YOUR BIN a) Assemble your recycling bin. b) Place one of the red recycling bags inside the bin and replace the lid, taking care not to lose the tie wraps provided with the bags.
c)
Locate the recycling bin in a convenient location.
2) USING YOUR BIN Follow these steps for using the bin: Toner Cartridges: a) Place any used toner cartridges in a plastic bag and seal. Green bags are provided with some new toner cartridges, as shown here, however if no bag is provided, any suitable bag secured with tape will be sufficient. b)
Place the bag containing the toner cartridge in the box that the new toner cartridge was supplied in and close.
c)
Place the box in the recycling bin.
Image Drums (EP Cartridges): a) If possible please place the orange plastic strip that is fitted across the new drum, into the used drum to help reduce any toner spillage, see image to the right (please note that the drum may look different to the one illustrated). b)
Place the used drum inside a plastic bag and seal with tape.
c)
Place the used drum inside the box that the new drum was supplied in and close.
d)
Place the box in the recycling bin.
Transfer Belts and Fuser Units: a) Place the used item in the box the new item was supplied in and close. b)
Place the box in the recycling bin.
Ribbons: a) Simply place the used ribbon cartridge in the recycling bin. 3) WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR BIN IS FULL As part of our commitment to protecting the environment we only collect FULL bags and preferably two or more bags per collection. a)
Remove the red bag from the recycling bin and ensure it is full, but not over full.
b)
Gather the top of the bag together and then place the tie-wrap provided around the top and tighten as securely as possible to ensure no toner leakage (see below). Please DO NOT pass the tie wrap through the holes at the top of the bag.

Visit our website and complete the online form to request collection of the bag(s): www.oki.co.uk/recycling Please note that you will need to know the approximate weight of each bag.
