System Power Button Things to Notice:     Rooms are preset to start with the computer selected When projector powers up, you may need to press the COMPUTER button a second time or harder. Some rooms may experience slightly longer delays in switching between devices If audio is not present, check the Parasound Amp and turn it on. KEYSPAN PRESENTER’S REMOTE The Tripplite KeySpan presenter’s remote has a range of about 35 feet and functions for starting and stopping a PowerPoint presentation, forward and back, joystick, laser pointer, scroller and a standard set of mouse buttons. These are also marked with the room so the pairing of the mouse and receiver are kept together. The FWD/BACK buttons do not require setting in PowerPoint to work. Left – Right Mouse Buttons Joy stick Fwd/back To turn the presenter on, slide the ON/OFF button upward. Please return it to OFF after use and return to the lectern. Presenters are encouraged to obtain their own Bluetooth presenter’s remotes as all carts and lecterns are equipped with extra USB ports. When first using, the computer will install software for them – this may take a few minutes. Connect the provided VGA/Audio cable located on top of the rack. The two ends have an embedded audio cable – one long and one short. The shorter end goes into the guest port on the lectern rack and the longer one is used at the laptop to accommodate differing locations for the head-phone jacks. VGA/audio cable – VGA/audio cable for SHORT audio cable – guest laptops goes in rack guest computer port. RETURN CABLE To lectern VGA/audio cable – LONG audio cable – goes on laptop ROOM LIGHTS The wall light switches have one and two Braille bumps and correspond to the two banks of lights. The single bump switch turns OFF the fluorescent lights above the screen and generally renders the image easily viewable with the rear lights still on. NOT ALL rooms were wired the same – the above may need to be reversed. VISUALIZER SETUP Move the document camera cart in from its present location and connect the AV cable to the AV guest port on the lectern. Switch the SP control panel to the Aux Video device to project. Visualizers are available without a cart for table top use. TeachCam units are also available with long connecting cables and feature a built-in microphone. Connect audio/Video cable (red, white and yellow) to the Guest Video port.
