Olympus IX81 - HCM High Content Microscope Installed 2008, reworked 2016. Inverse widefield microscope in Pinkel setup with phase contrast optics (10x, 20x, 40x) and long-distance objectives for cell culture dishes (up to 40x). Equipped with a 2 Megapixel CMOS camera and filter sets to image all conventional dyes. XY scanning stage for 5D-data acquisition. Fully scriptable for arbitrary workflows, including intelligent acquisition with feedback from real-time image analysis. Stage-based environmental control (T/CO2) on request. Last update: July 2017

Camera Point Grey Chameleon3 CMOS USB3.0 monochrome camera, 2048 x 1536 pixel, 3.45 x 3.45 µm pixel size, global shutter, 12-bit A/D converter. Exposure times from 11 µs to 12 s, up to 55 fps. Binning in aggregation or decimation mode (increases brightness or frame rate, respectively).
