Please move this data to another folder or USB memory before using the copy tool. 1. Insert the PLK-G Document CD into the CD-Rom drive on your PC. Insert the USB memory into a USB connector on your PC. Check the assigned letter for the CD-ROM drive and USB memory drive. (Example: CD-ROM drive = D: and USB memory drive = E:) 2. Open the CD-ROM root directory by using Microsoft Explorer or My Computer, etc. Double click “PLKG System Setup.exe” 3. After you open the PLKG System Setup window, select the CD-ROM drive and then the USB memory drive. 4. Click the “System Copy” button. Data copy will be executed. 5. When copying is complete a message will appear. Click the OK button. Press the button to close the window. 6. The system data copy to USB memory is completed. Confirm the contents of USB memory. Use this USB memory for system installation. If you have access to the Internet: A copy of the most current system version can be obtained from our website at www.meau.com. From the home page of the website select: Products/Industrial Sewing Equipment/Software/PLK-G Series Download the file (PLK-G System Software) to a new folder on your PC and unzip the file. Save the folder to the root directory of the USB memory. The above procedure 1-6 is not needed if the Software came from the website. 150 Re-installing/Upgrading the System Software to the PLK-G Series Note 1: Follow one of the instruction methods used to copy the the USB memory. folder to Note 2: The system will not upgrade if the version number you are installing is currently being used in the machine. Note 3: The installation will reset all settings to factory default. The sewing patterns are not affected. 1. Turn the power off and insert the USB memory. 2. Press and hold in the F-key while turning on the power. + You may release the F-key when the red LED turns on. 3. The installation will start, please wait. 151 A screen will appear showing a picture that represents the USB memory installing data to the PLK-G machine. When the counter reaches 100 the Model/Language screen will appear. 4. Remove the USB Memory The screen will show the last Language and Model and also that the system was upgraded. Model/Language Screen The screen would also show the name of a table file (top) or a step sequence file (bottom) if the user had created them. The names will stay but the settings will be reset to the factory default. 5. If the Language and Model are correct, press If you need to change them, skip to the next page.
