Description of the device
The water passes through the water inlet and the behind mounted water filter, leading into the enginedriven high-pressure pump. By the circulation valve the water passed through the high-pressure hose and the gun, is leaded through the ray pipe and resigns through the high pressure nozzle. The motor is turned ON and OFF with the motor protection switch and is protected against overload.
The circulation valve is a safety valve preset by the work, that regulates the working pressure to the adjusted value and protects the pump from unacceptably high pressure.. Changes and settings are to be carried out only by an expert. Any changes on the safety valve (breaking the seal) will void the warranty and conformity. By turning the hand wheel (+/-) the working pressure is adjustable from the minimum to the maximum. If your high pressure washer has additional equipments, please note the attached supplementary sheets.
Operation with chemicals (optional) Would you like to operate your high pressure washer using chemicals, so attach the chemistry hose with the suction filter in the fluid in the tank. Open the double-pipe valve at the lance entirely. Approx. 10% of the chemical are added to the water, depending on nozzle size and high pressure hose length.

The operation of oil-heated high pressure cleaners in enclosed spaces is prohibited without aeration and proper exhaust system! Exhaust gases are harmful to health, increased concentrations of carbon monoxide can be deadly! The operation of by combustion engines driven high pressure cleaners in enclosed spaces is prohibited without aeration and proper exhaust system! Exhaust gases are harmful to health, increased concentrations of carbon monoxide can be deadly! Inadequate and faulty high-pressure hoses are often a cause of accidents in the operation of high pressure cleaners. Be sure to check the hoses before each start-up for external damage. Replace damaged high pressure hoses in principle immediately against HANSEAT original high-pressure hoses. If you use other high-pressure hoses than the original delivered by C. L. Becker GmbH the liability expires. Product liability and warranty claims are voided. Used, damaged high pressure hoses must not be repaired or used again after DIN EN 982/5.3.4.3. Replace them with original HANSEAT high pressure hoses. High-pressure cleaners must not be put up in fire-threatened and explosionthreatened rooms. When dealing with fuels use the necessary care. Observe safety rules and technical hazards, and environmental regulations. Please also note that the resulting effluent during the washing process can be made environmentally acceptable, e.g. via an oil separator, from the extraction system, the collection, filtering and disposal of contaminated water. Electricity can cause serious injuries! Remove all references to faulty electrical equipment seriously and eliminate possible causes for accidents immediately. Let the troubleshooting run exclusively by professionals. Unplug the unit for all repair and maintenance work from the power. Do not take the device in operation when power cord, plugs, switches, etc. are defective. The area of the exhaust system gets very hot! You can get burned - do not touch! Make sure before starting that hoses, guns and other accessories are suitable for the required operating pressures and operating temperatures. The pressure washer must be operated in a vertical position standing on a horizontal flat surface and is set up that it is absolutely safe and secured against rolling away and slipping. Let not the unit run longer than 3 minutes if the gun is closed. If it runs long time, the temperature of the circulating water rises to fast. This can damage the pump. Be careful when using hard water to a sufficient decalcification.

Commissioning Read, understand and consider this manual before starting up.
6.1
Preparation for commissioning
Unpack the unit and make sure that it is complete and undamaged. If it is not complete and undamaged, do not use the device. Consult your dealer in this case. In order to simplify packaging and transportation, certain accessories may be shipped separately. In this case, they must be installed by following these instructions, as shown in chapter 2.1. Make sure that all packing materials (bags, boxes, mounting hardware) are kept out of reach of children. Make sure before using the device that it has a nameplate and the information thereon comply with the technical data in accordance with Chapter 10.1. If this sign is missing, do not use the device. Consult your dealer immediately in this case. Before connecting the appliance to the water supply to the grid you need to become familiar with the function of its controls. These are explained in the manual with reference to the relevant displays and illustrations. Make sure that clean water flows to the device. If the device is operated without water, with contaminated, sandy water or with water with aggressive chemicals, instruction manual, this can cause damage to the pump. The HANSEAT high pressure cleaners HHPC-200/18 are allowed according to DIN 1988 only indirectly to be connected to the public water supply, e.g. via a receiving tank or a pipe cutting. A receiving tank with self-closing valve float or a pipe cutting system can be purchased through your dealer. Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage on the nameplate. The plug must comply with applicable local codes and be grounded. The socket must be equipped with a magnetic breaker with a differential response sensitivity to provide a maximum of 30mA. Do not connect other devices to the same outlet. Do not cover the device.

6.2
First commissioning Check the oil level through the sight glass at the pump or the oil dipstick.
Check the water filter cartridge. It must be free of contamination. Connect one end of the high-pressure hose to the gun and the other at the outlet of the pressure washer on. Run the connector only when power is off (0) in the socket. If you need an extension cord, make sure that the connection is waterproof. Insert the connecting components not on the ground to avoid possible contact with water. Use an extension cord with sufficient capacity / dimensions. Connect a reinforced hose (at least 15 bar/200psi) with an inside diameter of at least 19 mm (3 / 4'') to the water supply and the water input. (water line pressure / water pressure 2 bar + quantity) Please note that the water pressure decreases with the length of the hose. Make sure that the amount of water that arrives at the device, corresponds at least to the respective feed rate of your pressure washer. Open the water supply.. Evacuate the air in high pressure pump, high pressure hose and gun by the trigger lever pressing the gun without the nozzle until a uniform water jet emerges. Then close the gun and replace the nozzle. Press the black button (ON) on the switch to start the engine. Now the machine is ready and can be used as intended.
It is important to note that the exiting water jet generated when opening the gun a recoil and a torque occurs. The spray gun is opened by pressing the trigger and closed by releasing. Close the double-pipe valve. Only with completely closed double-pipe valve the maximum pressure will be reached. The desired working pressure can be continuously adjusted up to maximum with the hand wheel of the double-pipe valve. The spraying volume doesn’t change. The desired working pressure can be adjusted continuously up to maximum with the hand wheel of the circulation valve. Proportional to the regulation of the working pressure the spraying volume changes in opposite direction. The machine is preset to the maximum pressure.

Seite 11 von 23
Closing the gun causes the hydraulic shutdown of the exiting water jet. After the end of the delay time the motor-pump unit will turn into stand-by.
Don’t let the machine run longer than 3 minutes with gun closed. If it is running for some time, the temperature of the circulating water rises rapidly. This can damage the pump. After finishing the work press the red button (OFF) to stop the engine. Disconnect the water supply. Open the gun. This makes the whole system is depressurized. Turn off the machine under malfunctioning / malfunctions immediately. Raise problems in accordance with "Troubleshooting" or call the CLENA service center.
6.3
Re-Start-Up
To receive the application readiness of the high-pressure cleaner and to guarantee work free of disturbance, carry out -before every Start Up- the following controls: • • • • • •
Check the general situation of the machine (screw connections, sealings, etc.). Check accessories, high-pressure hoses and other hoses for damages and replace if necessary. Grease the quick couplings when required with usual lubricating oil or grease. Check whether enough oil exists in the pump. Control the water filter insert. It must be free from soiling. Run the machine only with absolutely clean water. Rinse the water hose before connecting with the machine. Run the machine only vertically at a horizontal level standing.
Connect the machine now, like in point 6.2 First Commissioning described, for the designated use.
6.4 Operating with chemicals (optional)
Use only biodegradable cleaning products with a pH of 7 to 12. Such cleaners must comply with the laws and regulations that apply in the country of use. The liquid detergent additives have to be selected according to the chemical compatibility of the surface to be cleaned. After using detergents and other chemicals the entire system has to be rinsed with clean water. Detergents and disinfectants can be harmful. Please refer to the details of the manufacturer. Regarding the concentration and chemical compatibility the instructions of the manufacturer have to be observed. Mix the chemicals in accordance with the manufacturer in a separate container. Attach the suction hose to the chemistry of the liquid in the container. Open the double-pipe valve completely. Approx. 10% of the chemical are added to the water, depending on nozzle size and high pressure hose length.

If the use of chemicals / soap is finished, the hose and the valve have to be cleaned with pure water. To do this you lay the suction hose into a container with pure water and let the high pressure washer suck in water for several minutes. Never allow chemicals to flow into the ground. Always dispose them in environmentally manner.
7
Decommissioning
Before a prolonged shutdown, the system pressure of the pressure washer has to rinsed with clear water. Make sure the frost protection of the machine also with little risk of freezing during storage and transportation by appropriate frost protection measures. Otherwise, serious damage to the entire water system operation and considerable dangers are to be feared. Run by the frost protection as follows: Fill a mixed according to the manufacturer antifreeze solution (15 l) into a clean container. Attach a short 3 / 4 "hose attachment at the water inlet. Place the other end of the hose into the container of antifreeze solution. Turn the switch 0/1/2 to position 1. Press the black push button and open the high pressure gun to start the pump without pressure. Hold down the push button until a uniform water jet emerges from the gun. Direct the water jet through the gun without beam back into the container. Close and reopen the gun several times to get all the safety devices and pressure gauges of the highpressure unit filled with anti-freeze solution. Turn the unit off. The device is now protected against frost down to a temperature according to the manufacturer's antifreeze. Ignoring the instructions can cause severe frost damage to all water-carrying components. Frost damage is not covered by the warranty. Never leave antifreeze to flow into the ground, but catch it for the purpose of reuse or run it to the most environmentally responsible manner.
