Cleaning Our LCD displays and telephones are specially designed, developed and manufactured for use on patient beds or examination tables. This is why, when manufacturing our devices, we only use materials that can fully meet the special requirements needed for daily use in a clinical environment. Experience with over 100,000 LCD / telephone units sold in Germany has shown that these products can even be used in intensive care areas or in bone-marrow transplant centres, where cleaning and disinfectant products are used in especially high concentrations. Based on this experience, BEWATEC LCD displays and telephones can generally be cleaned and disinfected by wiping with any standard cleaning agent or disinfectant in a hospital or dialysis situation. Our customers have been using the following products, amongst others: Fresenius ClearSurf Braun Melsept SF surface disinfectant Bode Chemie Mikrobac® forte without any problems. When cleaning the LCD device, be sure to observe the following points: – Disconnect the LCD display from the power supply before cleaning. – Do not use any abrasive powder or plastic solvent cleaning products. – The loudspeaker mesh is located on the underside of the device and the ventilation slots at the rear. Make sure that no cleaning fluid is allowed to penetrate into the LCD device. – To avoid scratches, only clean the display surface of the LCD device with a soft, lightly dampened cloth. – Should it be necessary, the inside of the casing should only be cleaned by qualified personnel.
