ICC-Kamera/Laserpointer Introduction
1 1.1
Product description Introduction The ICC Camera is used to determine the position of printed material on the processing surface using software. In addition, the ICC Camera also contains a laser pointer. The laser pointer is an optical instrument for visually determining the reference point. See chapter "Controls and operation"; section "Laser pointer, reference point"

Safety regulations Important ! These safety regulations and notes are only supplements to the "Safety regulations" section in the Operating manual to ensure safe work with this option
This section –
Defines the intended use of the ICC Camera
–
Contains safety precautions and instructions specifically valid for the ICC Camera
Special operational and situation-specific safety requirements are listed in the relevant processing steps in subsequent sections of this manual.
2.1
Proper use Proper use of the ICC Camera is essential for its safe operation. The ICC Camera is used to determine the position of printed material on the processing surface using software. The additional laser pointer is an optical instrument for visually determining the reference point. Any other use which does not meet this description shall be classed as improper use. The user bears sole liability for any damage arising as a result of improper use. Use of the ICC Camera shall also be regarded as proper when:
2.2
2.3
–
All nationally imposed safety regulations are complied with
–
The safety instructions listed in this operating manual are complied with
–
The usage conditions are complied with.
Examples of improper use –
Improper or non-intended use
–
Non-adherence to safety requirements
–
Failure to react to signs of wear and damage
Risks caused by cleaning agents Warning ! Risk of fire & explosion and risk of chemical burns through the use of isopropanol Isopropanol is highly inflammable and poses a risk to health.

Registration marks
3 3.1
Operation Registration marks The ICC Camera is used to determine the position of printed material on the processing surface using software. The material has the same registration marks as those contained in the processing file. The detection of the registration marks is dependent on the software.

2 Processing file
4 Working area
Registration marks on reflecting materials The registration marks may differ in colour or size depending on the software and can therefore be detected. Select the diameter of round registration marks to be considerably larger ( ≥ 17 mm ) or smaller ( ≤ 14 mm ) than 15.5 mm. The selection of the colour is dependent on the software.

Cleaning the camera lens
4
Cleaning Attention ! Risk of damaging the ICC Camera
4.1
•
Never clean the ICC Camera with ultrasound, steam jet, compressed air etc.
•
Never use cleaning products (cleaning spray, grease solvents etc.) for cleaning.
•
Always blow the camera lens clean using a puffer first before cleaning using a micro-fibre cloth. Otherwise the camera lens will get scratched.
Cleaning the camera lens Removing dust and particles Ö Blow clean using a puffer Ö Use an antistatic brush to clean dust that sticks fast. Do not touch the tip of the brush with the fingers, otherwise the antistatic brush will lose its effect. Remove fingerprints or oil Ö Blow clean using a puffer Ö Wipe using a micro-fibre cloth
Warning ! Risk of fire & explosion and risk of chemical burns through the use of isopropanol Isopropanol is highly inflammable and poses a risk to health. •
Keep away from sources of ignition.
•
Do NOT inhale the fumes.
•
Ensure there is a sufficient supply of fresh air.
•
Avoid contact with the skin.
•
Wear your personal protective equipment.
•
Observe the manufacturer's safety regulations.
Ö For difficult fat spots use a drop of isopropanol on the micro-fibre cloth
Disposal ! Dispose of chemicals and items contaminated with chemicals in accordance with local regulations.
