DESCRIPTION OF CAMERA PARTS (Unit:mm)
WAT-250D
⑧ VIDEO OUT The B.N.C. terminal for video signal output. Note: A RG-59B (RG-140/U) or RG-6A/U coaxial cable with 75Ω impedance must be used.
OPERATION MANUAL
⑨ A.T.W.- P.W.B. conversion switch Automatic Trace White setting or Push-Lock White Balance setting can be selected. A.T.W. (Automatic Trace White) setting: traces the color temperature applied to the light source used and corrects the white balance automatically. P.W.B. setting: matches the correction value of the white balance with the color temperature applied to the light source used in combination with ⑪ push button. A.T.W. is set upon shipment.
INTRODUCTION: Thank you for choosing our WAT-250D DIGITAL CCD COLOR Camera. Watec hopes that both the quality and design satisfy your requirements. Before proceeding to install or operate the WAT-250D, please read and understand thoroughly the contents of this Operation Manual. For future reference we also advise“safe keeping”of this manual. CAUTIONS: 1. Use only the AD-901 or equivalent power adaptor for the WAT-250D. Power supplied without voltage stabilization and/or the voltage range not maintained at ±10% 12V.DC. may cause damage to the camera. 2. Do not expose the WAT-250D to wetness or high moisture conditions. The WAT-250D is designed and approved for indoor use only. If the location of the camera is outdoors or in an outdoor like environment, we recommend that you use an OUTDOOR CAMERA HOUSING. 3. Avoid the striking of hard objects or dropping the unit. 4. Do not disassemble and/or modify the WAT-250D or the component parts or accessories. Watec can not be held responsible for equipment failure or any damage and/or trouble caused by such action. 5. Do not install the WAT-250D near heat sources, such as radiators or heating air ducts, or in a position subject to direct sunlight※, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock. 6. When the WAT-250D is used under or near fluorescent lighting or mercury lighting, a flickering phenomenon may occur. This does not mean there is a technical problem. 7. Avoid positions subject to strong electromagnetic field, especially when the WAT-250D is housed inside equipment. 8. Do not connect any power supply directly to the VIDEO OUT terminal of the unit. This may cause damage. 9. When a cable operation system, such as a video cable single line transmission is being used, check the specifications or requirements of your monitor for proper connection with the video signal terminal of the camera. 10. Do not make connections and/or operate the WAT-250D with wet hands. 11. Should the WAT-250D not work properly, switch off the power and then, check that the power and video terminals are properly connected. ※ Sunlight shining directly onto the camera lens can cause damage to the CCD. CONTENTS: Using the contents figures below, check to make sure all parts are present before use.

Always attach the lens cap so as to protect the lens and the CCD from contamination and damage. 3. Dirt, water and oil deposits on either will cause an unclear picture on the monitor, and scratches will become permanent damage. ② CS lens mount Any standard C-mount lens can be attached to the WAT-250D, when our optional C-mount ring 34CMA-R is fitted to ② CS mount lens.

③ Hexagonal focusing adjustment screws (for fine focusing adjustment on the lens mounting ring). There are three hexagonal focusing adjustment screws each placed at intervals of 120゚ around the lens mount ring for the forward and backward motion of the lens mount.

④ AUTO IRIS terminal Power and control signals are supplied to the auto iris lens when the auto iris lens is used. See Sec.2 of the operation manual for more detailed attention. (Patent pending) ⑤ Tripod mounting screw holes (Upper/Lower) Thread size and depth are the same as those for standard camera tripods (U1/4”).

⑥ LEVEL (for Auto iris lens)- Auto Iris volume level adjustment. When using a DC driven iris lens the volume level of the Auto Iris can be adjusted using this function. ⑦ E.I.-E.L.-OFF conversion switch OFF, F.L. or E.I. (automatic) is selectable. E.I. (automatic) is set upon shipment.
⑩ Push button While ⑪ button is continuously depressed, it correct the white balance in contrast to the color temperature of the light source used. The moment when ⑪ button is released, the operation for the correction of the white balance stops instantly and fixes the expected color temperature. ⑪ POWER IN The terminal is designed for connection with a DC plug from an appropriate power adaptor. NOTE: The optional power adaptor, AD-901(DC+12V, 250mA) is recommended for use with the WAT-250D. See Sec.3 ⑫ AGC ON/OFF conversion switch : AGC is ON in the upper position (8∼36dB) and is OFF in the lower position (about 8dB fixed). : AGC is set to ON upon shipment. ⑬ GAMMA ON/OFF conversion switch (for correction of GAMMA volume) : In the upper position the Gamma correction is ON (≒0.45) and in the lower position it is OFF (≒1.0). : The Gamma correction switch is set to ON upon shipment. ⑭ B.L.C. ON/OFF conversion switch (for back light compensation) : In the upper position B.L.C. is ON and is OFF in the lower position. : B.L.C. is set to ON upon shipment.
SETTING UP AND OPERATION OF THE WAT-250D NOTE: Ensure that before any connections are made to the WAT-250D, the power is switched OFF. 1. Remove the lens cap from the WAT-250D and attach the lens. Use the optional C-mount adaptor 34CMA-R, when the C-mount model lens is used. NOTE: Confirm the specifications of the lens to be used, when it can not be mounted onto the WAT-250D smoothly. 2. Connect the iris control cable to ④ AUTO IRIS on the WAT-250D, when the auto iris lens is used. NOTE: Confirm the version of the auto iris lens to be used, as shown below; 1) Video iris lens. 2) DC driven iris lens. 1) Video iris lens The pin configuration is subject to EIAJ configuration. The discrepancy is as follows;
