Retain Instructions: The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. Head Warnings: All warnings on the unit and in the operating instructions should be adhered to. Follow Instructions: All operating and user instructions should be followed. Electrical Connections: Only a qualified electrician should make electrical connections. Attachments: Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards. Cable Runs: All cable runs must be within permissible distance. Mounting: This unit must be properly and securely mounted to a supporting structure capable of sustaining the weightof the unit. UNPACKING Unpack carefully. Electronic components can be damaged if improperly handled or dropped. If an item appears to have been damaged in shipment, replace it properly in its carton and notify the shipper. Be sure to save: 1) The shipping carton and packaging material. They are the safest material in which to make future shipments of the equipment. 2) This Installation and Operating Instruction. CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF THE PLUG TO THE WIDE SLOT AND FULLY INSERT. -2- INSTALLATION Step 1 Separate The Housing and PSU Box Loosen the screws from PSU box Step 2 Loosen and remove the bolt from the hinge. Separate the housing and PSU Box Installing The Power Supply Unit When using a 24V AC Power source: Tighten 2 screws to fix the PSU Put the PSU into the box When using a 90~260V AC power source: Put PSU into the box Put the clamp on PSU Tighten 2 screws to fix the PSU NOTE: Digimerge recommends using the camera power supply included with the IP Camera only. If using AC Power cord, please be cautions as electricity can cause damage to the camera or injury to the installer. Damage caused to the camera in this way will invalidate your warranty. -3- Step 3 Installing the Power Box 8 10 Drill 4 holes on desired Locations. Note hole locations in the above diagram. 45 Use 4 screws (not supplied) to affix the PSU to the ceiling. NOTE: Digimerge recommends using the camera power supply included with the IP Camera only. Damage caused to the camera in this way will invalidate your warranty. -4- Outdoor Housing for IP Series Connection RS-485 Alarm In Output Alarm RJ-45 DC12V Input Video Output Fan & Heater Wiring Fast Dome Wiring AC Output AC Input NOTE: Digimerge recommends using the camera power supply included with the IP Camera only. If using AC Power cord, please be cautions as electricity can cause damage to the camera or injury to the installer. Damage caused to the camera in this way will invalidate your warranty. 1. Connect AC / DC cables: Untighten the left knob, put the AC power cable through the hole and tighten the knob Connect the AC power cable to AC Input jack Connect the AC Connect the DC power cable(below) power cable(above) to AC Output jack to DC Input jack 2. Connect RJ-45 and Video cables: Untighten the middle knob, put the video and RJ-45 cables through the hole and tighten the knob Connect the video cable to output jack -5- Connect the network cable to RJ-45 jack 3. Connect Alarm, RS-485, cables: Untighten the right knob, put the Alarm and RS 485 cables through the hole and tighten the knob Connect the telemetry control (RS-485) to RS485 Input (TXDI+,TXDI-) Connect the Alarm input cable to Alarm Input (Alarm 1 & GND) CAUTION To maintain waterproofing, please u se cable with one cable conduit only. (Recommended) When using two cables with one conduit, please f ill the seam between the cables with waterproof glue t o make it waterproof. Recommended: Cable diameter for the cable conduit: 5~12mm Step 5 Attach the Base to Housing Turn the dome cover counter-clockwise Separate the dome cover from camera -6- Loosen the 3 screws from base Turn the camera body Counter-clockwise Separate the camera body and base Unplug the connection cable Attach the base to housing Connect the housing cable Tighten 3 screws to fix base Step 6 Camera Settings Setting Fast Dome ID Setting Alarm Mode Setting Camera Function Setting Fan Power Refer to Dome operation manual for camera settings Step 7 Attach Camera Body and Base Reconnect the connection cable Attach camera body to base Turn camera body clockwise to position it -7- Tighten the three screws to affix the camera body Step 8 Attach the dome cover to camera Step 9 Install The Dome Cover and Housing Cover Turn the dome cover clockwise to tight position Attach the cover to housing Tighten the 3 screws to fix the cover Attach PSU and Bracket Attach the housing back to PSU box Insert the bolt into the hinge and tighten Step 10 Connection Between Housing and Dome Connect the fan & heater cable to pin jack Connect the Fast Dome cable to connection jack -8- Step 11 Install the Power Box, Bracket and Housing Pendant Mounting MNT9320PD Attach the bracket and housing to the box Tighten the 4 screws to fix the bracket Wall Mounting MNT9320W Attach the bracket and housing to the box Tighten the 4 screws to fix the bracket -9- STRUCTURAL DRAWING Pendant 274.0mm 70.0mm 477.5mm 270.0mm Wall Mount 70.0mm 204.0mm 367.15mm 312.5mm 270.0mm 405.0mm 9 - 10 - WIRING DIAGRAM Outdoor Housing for IP Series NOTE: Digimerge recommends using the camera power supply included with the IP Camera only.
