Install under an Awning or with Protection from the Top Although our cameras are weatherproof and can be installed outdoors, we recommend installing the cameras under an awning or in a setup that provides protection from the top. If the cameras need to be installed where there is no protection from the top, we recommend installing the cameras inside camera housing Install under an Awning or with Protection from the Top If cable is exposed, to prevent water from leaking from the cable onto the camera, we recommend routing the cable in a J shape to move water away from the camera Secure the Back Cover Check if the camera back cover is secured tightly. Water may leak into the back cover if not tightened Other Tips     If possible, make sure cables are not exposed to water Make sure power connections are not exposed to water and protected from outside elements Do not place the camera where rain and snow will hit the lens directly. Housing is recommended for installations where sporadic weather is consistent Like any electronic device, cameras are sensitive to voltage changes and may fail prematurely. If possible, plug cameras into a surge protector
