Description and technical parameters OVP-100MB-HIPOE-BOX are high performance overvoltage protections designed for protection of LAN devices against surge peaks with amplitude up to 10kA. Protections are compatible with PoE according to standards IEEE 802.3af or PoE+ IEEE802.3at up to the maximum output power 90W and voltage 58VDC. Grounding PE terminal is galvanically isolated from signal terminals.

OVP-100MB-HIPOE-BOX Overvoltage protections of ethernet devices with PoE up to 90W Installation and Setting 1. Mount the protection to surface. 2. Ground the yellow-green wire to the closest earth bar with maximum earth resistance 10Ω. Earthing should be done in accordance to the national standards. 3. Connect UTP Cat5e cables according to the pictures below. Connect the unprotected side towards the expected source of overvoltage.

PATCH-BOX-8W52 It is possible to screw up to 8 overvoltage protections OVP-100MB...to 19" patch panel PATCH-BOX-8W52. For proper functionality follow these rules: 1. Cut the yellow-green earthing wires from the overvoltage protections that are to be screwed to the patch panel. 2. Reliable earthing of the protections is ensured by: ·
screwing of overvoltage protections to the patch panel using screws M3x5 from accessories,
·
connecting of patch panel with earthing point with max. earth resistance 10Ω. The connection must be realized using a wire of min. cross-section 2.5 mm2.
Other recommendations: ·
protected wires should not cross the unprotected,
·
min. recommended distance between protected and unprotected wiring is 10 cm,
·
do not use lightning conductor for earthing.
