Electric Fireplace IMPORTANT Please read this manual before installing and operating this heater. This manual should remain with the homeowner.
WARNING: All electric heaters have hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are or are stored.

Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Refer to this manual. For assistance or additional information, consult a qualified installer.
Do not expose the heater to the elements (such as rain, etc.).
— Do not place clothing or other flammable material on or near firebox. Never place any objects on the fireplace. — Carefully supervise young children when they are in the room with the fireplace. — Fireplace becomes very hot when running. Keep children and adults away from hot surfaces to avoid burns or clothing ignition. Fireplace will remain hot for a time after shutdown. Allow surfaces to cool before touching. — Do not install fireplace directly on carpet or similar surface which may restrict air circulation beneath unit. NOTE: This heater must be electrically wired and grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with National Electric Code ANSI/NFPA 70-latest edition or the Canadian Electric Code, CSA C22.1 as appropriate.
SAFETY INFORMATION When using electric heaters, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to person, including the following: 1. Read all instructions before using this appliance. 2. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains away from front of heater. 3. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not allow bare skin to touch hot surfaces. The grille directly in front of heater outlet becomes hot during heater operation. 4. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever heater is left operating and unattended. 5. Always unplug heater when not in use. 6. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or if heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair. 7. Do not use outdoors. 8. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar

indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. 9. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over. 10. To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF before removing plug from outlet. 11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the heater. 12. To prevent possible fire, do not block air intakes in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. 13. Always use properly grounded, fused and polarized outlets. 14. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids or vapors are used or stored. 15. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 16. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord should be No. 14AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts. 17. Always use ground fault protection where required by electrical codes. 18. Always disconnect power before performing any cleaning, maintenance or relocation of heater. 19. To prevent a possible fire, do not burn wood or other materials in this heater. 20. To prevent electric shock or fire, always use a certified electrician should new circuits or outlets be required. 21. When transporting or storing heater, keep in a dry place. 22. Control panel door gets hot during heater operation. Open door by pressing on right corner. A spring magnet will disengage. Pull door down to open.

Note: A dedicated power supply circuit is recommended for the unit but not required. Additional electrical appliances on the same circuit may exceed the current (amperage) rating for that circuit. If after the installation of your unit, the circuit breaker trips or the fuse fails on a repeated basis, then a dedicated circuit will likely be required. Any new wiring must be done in compliance with local and national codes and other applicable regulations in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or other injuries. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you hire a licensed electrician to complete any such work.
INSTALLATION NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED 1. Carefully remove unit from box. 2. Make sure the units MAIN ON/OFF switch is switched OFF (refer to operation section). 3. Plug the unit into a 15Amp/120volt outlet. If the cord does not reach, you may use an extension cord rated for a minimum of 1875 watts. 4. Minimum clearance form unit to wall is 1 inch;
OPERATION Resetting the temperature cutoff switch The heater is protected with a safety device to prevent overheating. Should the heater overheat, an automatic cut out will turn the heater off and it will not come back on without being reset. It can be reset by switching the ON/OFF SWITCH to OFF and waiting 5 minutes before switching the unit back on. The main power ON/OFF switch is located on the back of the bottom of the unit. The “|” indicates ON and “O” indicates OFF.

Operating by control on firebox The controls of the fireplace are located near the top of the firebox.
Power ON/OFF button The button supplies power to all unit functions. When press this button the flame effect operates without heat. Press this button again, power cut to all unit functions. Flame Control Button: After the power is turned on, push the FLAME Control Button to adjust the flame height and ember bed brightness. Press and release the Flame Control Button to cycle through Low, Medium and High. Temperature Control Button Push the TEMP button to cycle through different heater settings. Press and release the TEMP button to cycle through Low, High and OFF. Down Light Control Button Press and release the Down Light Button to cycle through ON and OFF.
Operating by Remote Control 1. Plug-in your electric fireplace. 2. Make sure the unit’s main Power ON/OFF button is at the ON position! The remote control will NOT work if the main Power button is in the OFF position. When operating the remote control, it must be pointed towards the front of the unit.

MAINTENANCE Warning: The unit must be unplugged from the power supply prior to any maintenance or cleaning in order to reduce the risk electric shock or fire.
Glass Cleaning The glass is cleaned in the factory during the assembly operation. During shipment, installation, handling, etc., the glass surface may collect dust particles; these can be removed by buffing lightly with a clean dry cloth. To remove fingerprints or other marks, the glass can be cleaned with a damp cloth using a good quality household glass cleaner. The glass should be completely dried with a lint free cloth or paper towel. Do not use abrasive cleaners on glass surface or spray liquids directly onto any surface.

Unit Storage Store the unit when not in use in a dry, dust free location with the power cord properly secured.
Service If your fireplace needs maintenance or is not working properly, please contact your local authorized agent for service. It is a necessity to contact an authorized source for replacement of parts and/or other servicing.
