The analogue audio input is sampled at 24 bits and can be embedded as 20 or 24 bit audio. Embedding conforms to SMPTE 272M and allows audio to be inserted into any of the four groups. Digital silence is inserted when an audio feed is absent. The broadcast quality composite video to SDI conversion uses 11bit, 4X over sampling and four line adaptive comb filtering. The unit is housed in an extremely compact and rugged aluminum case and is suitable for both field and studio applications. It includes a mounting bracket, enabling it to be screwed to suitable surface. Alternatively, it can be housed on a 1Ru or 2RU rack with up to 14 other GlueBox Mini Series units.
