Fax Server User Guide
Logging In:
To launch the application open a browser on your computer and enter the home URL that has been given to you:
The web access login screen appears. Enter your Email Address and password [default is
password1234] as assigned by the system administrator and Click Login. The fax status page of the web access appears (Outgoing Queue tab).
The Fax Server browser-based interface has five available options in the upper right area of the page.
Menu: -Help
The Help button of the web access launches a related Help file.
Menu: -Options
The Options button of the web access opens a page where the display language, fax format, and password can be changed.
Menu:-Compose
The Compose button of the web access opens a page which contains three tabs: Compose, Sender & Company
information, and Options. Compose tab
The Compose tab is used to specify the recipients, the subject, and the contents of the fax. Recipients: • • •
Name: The name of the recipient
Company: The organisation where the recipient works
Number: The fax number of the recipient including the 9 for external line access.
If there is more than one recipient, clicking on the More Recipients button opens a new
section to the right of these fields. You can then use the Add, Edit and Remove buttons to manage all the fax recipients. Cover sheet:
Style: Select a cover sheet to append to the memo or retain the default one Basic01 (new cover sheets are created by your
system administrator)
Subject: The subject of the fax memo Comment: The actual text message of the fax;
Attachments: Select file documents that are appended to the fax. Click Browse to find the file(s) in your system. If there is
more than one attachment, clicking on the ‘More’ attachments button opens a new section below these fields. You can then use the Add, Remove, Move Up and Move Down buttons to manage the attachments.
The Submit button transmits the fax, while the Clear button clears all the fields in the Compose page.
Sender and Company information tab
The dialog for the Sender & Company Information tab is where you specify you’re personal,
billing and company information. It is possible to use the information provided in the profile associated with your user account, or directly specify custom information.
Options tab
The dialog for the Options tab is where you specify the fax settings and whether you want to
receive notifications. It is possible to use the information provided in the profile associated with your user account, or directly specify custom information
Use default options: Select this option to use the fax settings specified in the profile associated
with your user account.
Use custom options: Select this option to customize the fax settings. The fields below this

selection are then editable.
The Fax Status button of the web access opens a page which contains three tabs: Inbound History, Outbound History and Outgoing Queue.
Inbound history tab
The Inbound History tab Current displays the status of the faxes you have received. You can
display all, or a specific selection of faxes, by using the search bar at the top of the browser. Leaving the fields of the search bar empty will result in all of the received faxes being displayed.
Outbound history tab
The Outbound History tab displays the status of the faxes that you have sent. You can display all, or a specific selection of faxes, by using the search bar at the top of the browser. Leaving
the fields of the search bar empty will result in all of the received faxes being displayed.
Outgoing queue
The Outgoing Queue tab displays the status of faxes that are currently being sent or waiting to be sent. Or perhaps a fax machine has returned a busy signal and the fax remains in the
queue until Fax Server issues a retry.
To view the details of a fax, click on the
button, at the left of the fax entry
To display the content of a fax in a browser window click on any fax entry, a pop-up File Download dialog box appears, select Open this file from its current location.
Menu: -Logout
The Logout button of the web access logs the current user out of the software. Issue 3 11.11.14
