Westeks range of Rugged Servers are ideal for use in hostile environments including military COTS use. The server is designed to comply with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD 461 and DEF STAN 59-411 for use in aircraft, mobile or fixed land based systems, transportation and naval environments below decks as well as general use where a ruggedized system is required. The P4495R is a customisable server system with a wide choice of storage, power supply and processor options including support for the latest Intel® Core i7 family and Xeon processors. The P4495R is manufactured from very tough corrosion resistant Aluzinc plated steel case with a 4mm thick plated aluminium front panel. An additional anti-corrosion paint finish is available for more severe marine environments. A typical high performance specification provides :

I/O All I/O is presented on rugged connectors, usually circular MIL DTL types. Metal D-types may also be specified for some applications. Any add in cards are fitted and secured at build time and the appropriate rugged I/O connectors provisioned. The rear I/O plate is a customisable part and is fitted with the rugged connectors required. A direct interface option is also available.
