Quick Guide P5200 Radio Keypad Functions Top View MM-013030-001 P5200 Radio Controls Side View Rev. B, Dec/10 Locking/Unlocking Keypad  button. 1. Press the 2. For maximum clarity, hold the radio approximately 2-inches from your mouth. 3. Release the PTT button when finished and wait for reply. After 2-3 seconds will turn off. 3. *TXEMER* and will remain until the emergency is cleared. 4. Press and hold the Clear/Monitor button and simultaneously press the emergency button to clear an emergency (if enabled through programming). OpenSky: 1. Press and hold the red emergency button on the radio to enter emergency mode. 2. If the active profile of the initiating unit is configured for Emergency Alert, the three-beep emergency alert signal is sent only to the dispatcher console. 3. If the active profile of the initiating unit is configured for Emergency Call, the three-beep emergency alert signal is sent to the dispatch console and all radios in the selected voice group. The display alternates between the emergency voice group name and “EMERGENCY” to indicate that the emergency has been initiated. 4. The microphone is hot (open mic) for a programmed amount of time in order to send your voice out on the emergency voice group. 5. All radios in the emergency voice group hear the call and see the emergency voice group displayed on their radio.
