CFO First Mile offering is mainly looking at point-to-point type operation. This series provides an efficient transmission system for isolated cctv islands or alternatively bring the outer edge cctv cameras into a reach of a more sophisticated network cloud for further signal forwarding. Depending on the needed functionality a selection of different type of links are available either for video only type needs, or for video feeds requiring additional data, contact closure, audio or even ethernet communication as well. CFO First Mile series covers both multimode and single mode fibre environments. CFO OPX series is a perfect match for fibre optic transmission systems requiring a much more complex approach on system topology. CFO OPX is based on optical multiplexing technology and allows efficient building of multi-wavelenght optical system covering point-to-point, add-and-drop and ring type topologies. Extreme distances or other unexpected fiber losses can be handled by using a series of optical repeaters. CFO OPX is based on ITU-T G694.2 recommendation and uses eight selected optical wavelengths between 1470nm and 1610nm. Naturally the passive backbone modules support also the use of 1310nm optical window and hence allowing a parallel use over any legacy system. As in First Mile offering also multiple audio and data channels are available. For Ethernet communication needs there are units supporting either bridging type operation up to 100 Mbps or more complex switching devices with up-links up to 1 Gbps rates. All CFO devices share the same installation schemes. All rack card type CFO units are compatible with CSR range installation racks and CMA range standalone module adapters. Special mini-size modules are provided with required mounting mechanics. The most typical supply voltage is 12 VDC, however some transmitter modules are also able to take benefit of 24 VAC supply voltage as well. Most of the CFO devices are feasible for temperature hardened operation (-34...+74 °C / -29...165 °F). Depending on model the unit configuration is done either with user-selectable DIP-switch settings or via a hyperterminal/telnet type user management interface. SNMP is supported in selected CFO units.
CFO First Mile Series with SFP optics The new CFO First Mile SFP product line provides a new fresh approach for cost effective fibre optic video transmission. The new series consist of 4-ch and 8-ch video multiplexers either for “video only” type operation or operation supported with one bi-directional RS-data channel. The optics are provided by
a hot-swappable SFP transceiver module. Based on required functionality ready-assembled link combinations are available as shown in the list below. Also bare modules without SFP optics are available. For other optical requirements please refer to our selection of suitable MSG series SFP transceivers (p. 14).

CFO First Mile Series with Basic Optics The CFO First Mile Basic line provides cost effective and easy to install video, data, audio, contact closure and Ethernet transmission over a multimode optical fibre even up to 6.5 kilometres, and in single-mode fibre applications up to distances of tens of kilometres.
The fully digital product range varies from one channel video only links up to eight-channel video links. CFO First Mile basic products take advantage of the most appropriate technology for the application, with the success factors being reliability, performance and ease of installation. The product line includes cards for rack mount, module adapters for stand-alone installation and all other necessary accessories.
CFO100 Series – One channel video only link for fixed camera applications The CFO100 series provides uncompressed digital transmission of one CVBS video channel over one multimode (1310 nm) fibre for up to 6.5 km. Available in stand-alone small size transmitter unit and rack mount transmitter/receiver card formats. CPT101 can be operate with 12 VDC and 24 VAC. Mux/Demux – CWDM multiplexer/demultiplexer units The four channel and eight channel CWDM mux/demux products have been designed for 4 or 8 wavelength operation (ITU CWDM channels C11...18). With four channel units the other part of CWDM spectrum can by-pass the unit providing a possibility to use this unit also for four channel add/drop topologies.
