Dual cavity ear pads: The P7 headphones boast ear pads that feature a dual-cavity cushion design so the pads mould better to the wearer’s head. This increases comfort and isolation from outside noise, and it ensures more consistent volume of air in the space between drive unit and ear on both sides of the head. That means that all users experience the same sound, despite different head shapes. Resistive speaker basket: The internal casings around the P7’s driver units are
perforated with air vents covered with a resistive mesh. This unique design offers precise control over the airflow to the rear of the drive unit, resulting in a more piston-like movement of the driver to ensure clearer sound reproduction.
Braced speaker baffle: Plates inside the P7 are included in order to “baffle” unwanted vibrations and noise. These plates are made from a very rigid and inert polymer that’s heavily braced, which limits resonances that might otherwise colour the generated sound. Lighter voice coil: Most headphones use copper voice coils, but to provide optimum listening pleasure, the P7 headphones use voice coils made from a lighter aluminum-copper compound.
