PA 5AV QUICK User Guide / Instruction Sheet Please give to the operator of the PA Thank you for purchasing the Ready2Talk PA 5AV. The PA 5AV will operate differently than all systems you might have used before. Please take just a few minutes and follow these steps and you’ll be set up for success, then you will see how advanced it is, yet simple it is to use. Just think of it as, the PA 5AV as a hub or mixer. Everything plugs into it, (mics, iPad, video player or TV) and then the PA 5AV plugs into your AUX input on your stereo. Once installed and with your stereo in the AUX mode it now becomes just an amplifier with a volume control. SIMPLE 1) Turn on your stereo and change the mode setting to “AUX” 2) Plug the microphone into the socket on the top of the PA 5AV model and put on the headset. Place the mic just in front of your mouth (approx. 1” or 3cm) 3) Turn on the power switch on the front of the PA5AV, the blue LED power indicator light will come on. 4) Turn on the in-line switch on the HS 30M headset microphone 5) Start talking and adjust the volume on the stereo to your chosen level. ONCE THE STEREO VOLUME IS SET… YOU ARE GOOD TO GO AND YOU DON’T NEED TO ADJUST IT. To set up and play music from an iPhone, iPad or MP3 device… 6) Turn off the in-line mic switch on the HS 30M headset 7) Connect your audio device to the AUX input socket on the front of the PA 5AV and start playing music. 8) Adjust the volume on your iPhone, iPad or MP3 player to the desired listening level. DO NOT ADJUST THE STEREO VOLUME. 9) Once the music volume is set… turn on the in-line switch and the mic operate at the correct volume level from before and the music volume will drop to about 50%. Turn the mic switch off and the music will automatically come back up. 10)
Now that everything is set properly… when you increase the stereo volume, both the mc and the music volume will go up or down together.

NOTE… There are fine adjustments inside the PA 5AV for the mic input and muting levels which can be adjusted to your personal taste by your installer.
