JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Senior Executive – Foreign Jurisdiction (12 months Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity) Reporting to: Team Manager/Branch Manager Supervisory Responsibility: Assists with supervision of junior staff within team Job Purpose: Manage a full caseload of mainly Multi-Track personal injury claims which may include overseas accidents including work related accidents and RTAs, Athens/Montreal Convention claims, Package Travel claims. Areas of Responsibility: The job holder will be expected to conduct and manage all aspects of his/her caseload. Supervision will rarely be required, except in relation to the firm’s standard system and in relation to development of the job holder’s cases and skills. The job holder will be required to supervise other team members or may be responsible for a small team. The job holder will accordingly require a sound theoretical knowledge of overseas accident claims and cases with a foreign element/party and an ability to conduct such cases, including some more complex cases from beginning to end. The knowledge required to do this will normally take many years to acquire. The job holder will play an important role in the team in helping to achieve the team’s objectives and in fostering team spirit. He/she will accept a share of responsibility for the success or failure of the team and will assist with the motivation, delegation, coaching and supervision of junior foreign jurisdiction team members. The job holder will assist in maintaining significant local relationships, e.g. with local/regional union officials in terms of communicating on behalf of the firm. Page | 1
