3 Paint Replacement Tape 4805 Technical Data February, 2002 Product Description 3M™ Paint Replacement Tape 4805 contains a fluoropolymer backing and an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive on a removable polyester liner. This tape product provides a high-performance, low surface energy coating solution for paint replacement and specialized surface protection for both indoor and outdoor applications. The tape construction will adhere to a variety of smooth and rough surfaces, is conformable and will stretch and yield allowing application over complex features without discoloration or fracturing. The fluoropolymer tape is inherently resistant to moisture, chemicals, and environmental agents to offer excellent substrate protection as well as providing long term color stability. The tape is available in the following colors: 17925 (white), 37925 (white), 37038 (black), 36270 (medium gray), 36375 (light gray), 36118 (dark gray), and 36173 (dark gray). See the General Information section below and Installation Bulletin for application, benefits, and attributes.
