Section IV * PCC Lecture Capture / Content Management (Coming Soon) Panasonic Connected Classroom - Extron Control Panel Turning on The Panasonic Connected Classroom START PAGE WALK IN FRONT OF OR PRESS THE TOUCH SCREEN TO POWER ON THE PROJECTOR, FLATPANEL AND SYSTEM SWITCHER PROJECTOR WILL TAKE 30 - 90 SECONDS FOR THE LAMP TO WARM UP. THIS PAGE WILL BE DISPLAYED WARM UP PAGE DURING THAT TIME. . AFTER WARM UP THE MAIN / SOURCE SELECT PAGE WILL APPEAR. SELECT SOURCE PAGE Controlling the System Audio AUDIO MUTE IS A TOGGLE BUTTON. PRESS IT TO MUTE PROGRAM AUDIO. THE BUTTON WILL FLASH WHILE AUDIO IS MUTED. PRESS IT AGAIN TO UNMUTE AUDIO AND LIGHT WILL NO LONGER ILLUMINATE SELECT SOURCE PAGE PROGRAM VOLUME KNOB. ROTATE CLOCKWISE TO INCREASE AUDIO LEVEL. ROTATE COUNTER CLOCKWISE TO LOWER AUDIO. NOTE: PROGRAM AUDIO IS AUDIO ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIDEO DISPLAYED ON THE MAIN PROJECTOR ONLY. Choosing Your Display or Displays PRESS DISPLAY CONTROL TO BRING UP CONTROL OF INDIVIDUAL DISPLAYS SELECT SOURCE PAGE DISPLAY CONTROL PAGE ON / OFF BUTTONS ALLOW YOU TO TURN OFF THE DISPLAYS WITHOUT SHUTTING DOWN THE SYSTEM PIC MUTE WILL SHOW BLUE / BLACK SCREEN ON PROJECTOR BUT NOT SHUT OFF THE PROJECTOR. Activating the Interactive Display as a Standalone Learning Station SELECT SOURCE PAGE NOTE: THE 65" FLAT PANEL IS EQUIPED WITH AN EMBEDDED COMPUTER. THIS EMBEDDED COMPUTER CAN ONLY BE DISPLAYED ON THE FLAT PANEL. THIS COMPUTER AND FLAT PANEL COMBINATION ALLOWS FOR THE INTERACTIVE TOUCH FUNCTIONALITY OF THE DISPLAY. PRESS FLATPANEL PC SIDE BUTTON TO DISPLAY THE ON-BOARD PC OF THE FLAT PANEL ON THE FLAT PANEL Shutting Down The Panasonic Connected Classroom SELECT SOURCE PAGE PRESS SYSTEM OFF BUTTON TO SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM SYSTEM OFF CONFIRMATION PAGE NOTE: IN CASE THE SYSTEM OFF BUTTON WAS ACCIDENTLY PRESSED, A CONFIRMATION PAGE WILL APPEAR TO CONFIRM YOU WANT TO SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM PRESS POWER DOWN TO CONFIRM SHUT DOWN PRESS CANCEL TO KEEP SYSTEM ON AND RETURN TO PREVIOUS PAGE SYSTEM COOL DOWN PAGE DUE TO THE LAMP COOL TIME DOWN THIS PAGE WILL APPEAR FROM 45 TO 120SECONDS. THIS IS TO PROTECT THE LAMP LIFE OF THE PROJECTOR. ONCE COMPLETE IT WILL TAKE YOU TO THE START PAGE NOTE: SIDE BUTTONS AS WELL AS THE TOUCH SCREEN IS INACTIVE WHILE THIS SCREEN APPEARS Panasonic Classroom Audio Panasonic Classroom Audio – Daily Use START OF DAY Step 1. Disconnect the microphone from the charger. The red LED charge indicator should be off. Step 2. Put microphone around neck and adjust strap so it is 5in (13cm) from your mouth. The strap can be removed and the microphone clipped to the lapel if so desired. Step 3. Press and hold the “PWR” button to turn microphone on. The green “BATT” LED on the microphone should illuminate. The green “MIC IR Signal” LED on the Amplifier/Receiver should illuminate. Step 4. Speak in a normal conversational tone. Adjust volume to a comfortable level. END OF DAY Step 1. Press and hold the “PWR” button to turn microphone off. Note: The green “BATT” LED on the microphone should extinguish. Step 2. Charge the microphone overnight. Refer to the “Charging Instructions” for detailed information. WX-LT350 WX-LT150 Green..........Power On Green..........Signal Received WX-LA20 Green..........Power On Yellow/Red..........Battery Low When Charging: Flashing Red..........Alkaline Battery Detected (Error) Solid Red..........Charging Mute: Blinking Blue..........Muted (WX-LT350 Only) Panasonic Classroom Audio - Playing Media Through The Microphones Other auxiliary audio sources can be wirelessly played through the classroom system using the WX-LA350 or WX-LT150. Devices such as MP3 player, portable CD/tape/radio or computer can easily be connected to the wireless microphones for easy and simple playback. WX-LT350 Teacher Microphone - The teacher microphone has a special input connector, labeled “AUDIO IN” on the side the microphone. WX-LT350 1 Step 1. Turn on WX-LA350. 2 Step 2. Plug one end of the audio adaptor cord in the “Audio Output” connector of the secondary audio source. Plug the other end of the adaptor cord to the “AUDIO IN” 3.5 mm stereo jack on the teacher microphone. 3 4 Step 3. Turn the secondary audio source on. Step 4. Adjust the volume on the secondary audio source to obtain the optimal listening level. Note: The microphone is muted during playback from the other audio source. This provides the best audio reproduction of the secondary source. WX-LT150 Student Microphone - The student microphone has a special input connector, labeled “AUDIO IN” on the side the microphone. 1 WX-LT150 Step 1. Turn on WX-LT150. Step 2. Plug one end of the audio adaptor cord in the “Audio Output” connector of the secondary audio source. Plug the other end of the adaptor cord to the “AUDIO IN” 3.5 mm stereo jack on the teacher microphone. Step 3. Turn the secondary audio source on. Step 4. WX-LT150 (Back View) 2 3 4 Panasonic Classroom Audio - Charging The Microphones Connecting the Battery Charger Cable to Teardrop & Handheld Microphones Step 1. Position the WX-LT350 microphone with the black back of the microphone facing towards you. Step 2. Align the charger connector so that the small triangle shaped arrow on the charging connector is facing you. Step 3. Insert the connector into the microphone. Step 1. Position the WX-LT150 microphone with the 3.3V label above the charging connector. Step 2. Align the charger connector so that the small triangle shaped arrow on the charging connector is facing you. Step 3. Insert the connector into the microphone. Panasonic Classroom Audio – Audio Control (Teacher Microphone) Remote Volume Control OWN, OTHER, LINE – Indicates which source will be controlled by the Up/Down remote volume controls Up/Down Remote Volume Controls BATT – Battery and Power Status Indicator (Green when on and fully charged) SELECT – Selects which source (OWN, OTHER, or LINE) will be controlled by the Up/Down remote volume controls CHG – Battery Charging Status Indicator External Microphone Input Connector Auxiliary Input – Play Music Wirelessly Charging Port POWER/MUTE – Power On/Off (Press and Hold) and Mute Control (Press and Release) Starting WhiteBoard Software 5 - Interactive Projector 1 From your computer, right click the SP Driver in the system icon tray, change Setting to “Touch Mode”. SP Driver Not Ready SP Driver Ready Note If the light pen stops functioning while using the projector, follow step 1 above. Switch to “Mouse Mode and the back to “Touch Mode”, then continue operation. 2 Turn on the pen supplied with the projector. Note You will know the interactive pen is working if the tip glows when pressed. 3 From your computer, click Calibrate in the system icon tray and follow directions 4 Double tap the WhiteBoard 5 Icon. Starting WhiteBoard 5 Software - Interactive Display 1 Double tap the WhiteBoard 5 Icon. Note No Calibration or Mode Setting Necessary with the Interactive Display Whiteboard Mode – Interactive Projector and Interactive Display Note This mode should be used when you want to annotate on the projector or display Transparency Background – Interactive Projector and Interactive Display Note This mode should be used when you want to annotate over the desktop, web pages, videos, images, documents, etc… Desktop Operation Mode – Interactive Projector and Interactive Display Note This mode should be used when you want click icons and interact with the projector or display as a mouse. Main Menu Tips and Tricks Marker Write or draw characters or pictures freely. Highlighter Write or draw characters or pictures freely in translucent color. This is ideal for highlighting words or pictures that you want to emphasize. Color Switch the drawing color. Other colors/Select background Switch the drawing color or the color and type of screen background. Width Change the width of selected marker, highlight marker and eraser. Eraser Erase written and drawn content. Erase all Erase all characters or pictures drawn on the screen. * Locked characters, shapes, images or text will be left undeleted. Exit from the application Exit the application. Tips and Tricks Continued Presentation Tool Display the presentation operation panel found in the utility panel. Button Magnifier Description Display a magnifier. Changes the size : Drag and drop the edge of the window Moves the display position: Drag the window Changes the enlargement factor: Press Screen Shade Spotlight Fade-out Marker Fade-out Highlighter to select an enlargement factor. Display the shade that covers the entire screen. Changes the size : Drag and drop an area close to the upper, bottom, left or right handle. Moves the display position: Drag the center of the shade. • Drawing and object operations cannot be performed when started from the shade. • End the spotlight if it is displayed. Display the shade that covers the screen with the exception of the area (spot) specified using the range selection. Changes the size : Drag and drop the edge of the spot Moves the display position: Drag the shaded area • Drawing and object operations cannot be performed when started from the shade. • End the screen shade if it is displayed. Drawing switches to a drawing made using the Fade-out Marker that fades out after the elapse of a certain period of time. • Select another drawing tool to cancel the Fade-out Marker. • Erasing using the eraser, object selection, and project saving cannot be performed. • This tool is not available in the Desktop Operation mode. Drawing switches to a drawing made using the Fade-out Highlighter that fades out after the elapse of a certain period of time. • Select another drawing tool to cancel the Fade-out Marker. • This tool is not available in the Desktop Operation mode. • Erasing using the eraser, object selection, and project saving cannot be performed.
