2 Safety Instructions Only use the unit if it is technically in proper working condition and for the intended purpose while keeping safety and potential dangers in mind.
Qualified Personnel
The installation, mounting, connection, commissioning and configuration of the unit may only be carried out by qualified personnel. This also applies to the maintenance, testing and repair, whereat the regulations of the DIN VDE 0701 series of standards (repair, modification and inspection of electrical appliances) must be followed.
Regulations
The use of video and audio surveillance systems is, in general, strictly regulated. Inform yourself about the currently valid laws and regulations regarding data, worker and environmental protection before using the unit and ensure compliance with them.
System Components
Only use internal components that have been tested and approved by Dallmeier. Inappropriate internal components may cause malfunctions, damages and data loss and may result in the loss of warranty.
Modifications
Do not make any modifications to the hardware or software that have not been tested and approved by Dallmeier. Inappropriate modifications may cause malfunctions, damages and data loss and may result in the loss of warranty.
Documentation
Read the documents included in the delivery carefully and thoroughly. Always observe the contained instructions, notes and warnings.
Condensation Water
If the unit is brought from a cold to a warm environment, resulting condensation water may cause malfunctions and damages. In this case, wait (up to 8 hours) until the unit has reached room temperature before commissioning.

General NotesPanomera® S4
Appropriate Use The patented Panomera® Multifocal Sensor System is a totally novel camera technology particularly developed for the extensive video surveillance of largescale areas. With Panomera®, enormously broad ranges as well as areas with great distances are displayed in a completely new resolution quality – in real time and at high frame rates. With Panomera®, a huge area can be surveilled from a single location – and the resolution can be almost scaled without limits depending on the customer’s needs (e.g. by combining multiple Panomera® Multifocal Sensor Systems). The innovative lens and sensor concept of the Panomera® offers a unique overall view while, at the same time, capturing the finest of details even for long distances. The result is a significant reduction of infrastructural demands: In places where, in the past, several HD or megapixel cameras would have had been required, now, one Panomera® Multifocal Sensor System alone is sufficient. Panomera® far exceeds the conventional Full HD 1080p standard and megapixel resolution. As a Multifocal Sensor System especially scaled for each customer requirement, all areas of the entire surveillance scene are simultaneously displayed at maximum detail resolution. Regardless of which part of the surveilled area an operator concentrates on and no matter when, with Panomera® all events are entirely covered at all times. Therefore, an incident can always be re-constructed to be used as evidence in court, no matter where it took place and even at a later point in time, and individuals involved can be identified. Panomera® provides for a full overall view with minimum wear and almost no maintenance.

General Notes
Limits of the System After installation, alignment and focusing of the device it is required to calibrate the module transitions. Please note that • a Panomera® Multifocal Sensor System is designed for a specific installation height and angle. Deviations can lead to faulty module transitions. • the recalibration of the module transitions is always required when the distance to the fixed scene objects (e.g. change of installation height and camera tilt) is changed. • prior to the calibration of the module transitions each camera module must be optimally focused. • the automatic calibration of the module transitions is not possible for lowcontrast scenes. In this case, place an object with sufficient contrast in the corresponding module area and restart the calibration. • areas with clearly differentiable scene content (clearly recognizable spatial structures, objects and textures) are preferred for the automatic calibration of the module transitions. • due to physical and optical properties, not all edge transitions can be corrected, since objects with different distances to the background do always have a different parallax offset. • due to diurnal and seasonal changes in humidity and temperature and thus the resulting component movements or material stresses (e.g. of poles and brackets) image changes may occur mainly in more distant scene areas (e.g. changes of image section and edge transitions).
