1. Door lining: 1.1.Pry 1.2. Unclip the airbag faceplate (A) and remove the crosshead screw underneath. 1.3. unscrew the screw on the locking rosette (B) and remove it. 1.4. Remove the Chrome-Grill (C) lateral of the car door and unscrew the 2 x crosshead screws. 1.5. Unclip the grill of the door handle (D): Set a wedge at the notch of the door handle bowl and unclip it first below and then above out of the catch: Remove the crosshead screw (D1+D2) underneath the Chrome-Grill. 1.6. Carefully pull the door lining out of the lower and lateral plastic clips (danger of break!!). 1.7. Lift the door lining out of the sealing above and simultaneously mo move it forward away from the inner door metal. 1.8. Remove the Bowden pull wire 1.9. Disconnect the original tweeter cable.

3 . Panel alignment 3.1. Place the door lining on a plane surface. 3.2. Dismount the loudspeakers attached to the panel for transport protection. Retain the screws for later assembly. 3.3. Place the panel without loudspeakers and grill on the door lining and align it: reference line 3 reference line 1
reference line 2
Reference points for fitting: precise alignment of the panel with the door ☞Only lining warrants optimal fit. ref.line 1: Align the end of the panel-tray parallel to the the end of the original tray. ref.line 2: The lower edge of the panel is exactly parallel to the Line below the mounting holes of the original tray. ref.line 3: Please observe, the front side edge of the panel is paralell to the edge of the doorlining.

4. Handling of door lining / Panel installation - Fastening 1. use the fastening angle on the backside of the panel and the precisely aligned panel as template in order to mark fastening points 1- 5: • mark the fastening points 1_ premounted in the panel: pressing the panel to the door lining leaves visible impressions of the screws • marking of fixing points 2-5: use a thin awl to set the marks on the door-lining 2. draw the speakers’ cut-outs onto the door-lining
✍
3. take away the door panel. Drill the holes on the backside of the doorlining for the screws according to the marks set before. Use a 4mm drill for fastening point 1 and a 6mm drill for fastening points 2-5 ref.points 6+7: no pre-drilling
Doorpanel fastening points
3 = M 4 x 30
Drilling has to be done directly if installing the complete door lining to the car door (see page 9)
4 = M 4 x 30
5 = M 4 x 30 1 = 6 Ktn. M 4 x 30 6 Ktn. M4x30 already mounted
2 = M 4 x 30
7= see page 9
✍ 6= see page 9
Screwing M4-screws: Observe the exactly succession of fastening points 1-5 for precise fitting.
4. Cut out the holes for both speakers along the marking with a compass saw: Enlarge the original cut-out of the doorlining - see fig. Enlargement of cut-out
Originalcut-out
5. Screw in the 5x M4-screws on the backside of the doorling through the fastening angle of the panel:
☞
Observe the exactly succession of fastening points 1-5 for precise fitting.
Screw only hand-tight and fix the panel onto the doorlining. Secure all screws with washers and nuts.
5. check again for precise fitting and tighten screws.
☞
All cutting edges of the panel must fit to the door lining snugly all around without gap

5 . tweeter installation + loudspeaker cables
☞
Final inspection after panel installation: please check all functions of the operating elements such as seat adjustment, opening of the glove box, window winder etc.
5.1. tweeter-installation: 5.1.1. To affix the JEHNERT tweeter behind the original speaker-grill, the original fastening of the tweeter has to be aligned exactly on the backside of the doorling. Remove the overlapping plastic frame on the original fastening point with a side cutting plier (see fig.)
fig.: pre-worked or iginal tweeter fastening
fig.: tweeter fastening
5.1.2. connect tweeter with loudspeaker cabel (approx. 50cm long). 5.1.3. affix the tweeter exactly with hot melt adhesive or Silicon. 5.1.4. fastening the JEHNERT tweeter additional with washer and hexagon head screw M4x8 on the perforated sheet metal 5.1.5. lead the cable to the cross-over (mount see page 10 car door)
5.2. Installation loudspeaker cables: 5.2.1. carefully remove the moisture protection foil 5.2.2. insulation of the door lining - Important tips against vibration-noise (s.page.8) 5.2.3. install cables: Lead 1 speaker cable (1,5 - 4 mm 2) from amplifier into the door. (mount of crossover circuit: in the hollow space between doorpanel and door-lining - see page10) 5.2.4. reinstall the moisture protection foil

6. insulation of the door lining attention – danger !!
!
☞
No insulation behind the side-airbags (fig. B)
Important: No insulation material behind - loudspeaker - door latch lever - (fig. A): drill a hole for the installation clip
fig.: backside of the door lining – insulation with our article no.: 27000
☞
Important tip: the use of 2x16mm mid-woofer /side may cause vibrations which lead to annoying rattle noises in the car door
some helpful tips: • use our self-adhesive insulation fleece (art.no.: 27000) or a foam material for the backside of the door lining (see fig. above) or • stabilize the backside of the door lining by means of a special material (Glass Fibre Filler or stiffening material) important:
keep the cut-outs for the door-airbags and speakers open
• affix the *backside of the inner door metal with self-adhesive asphalt mats (see fig. * ) • by knocking on the car door, vibrations caused by mechanic parts (e.g. Bowden pull wire etc. ) and wiring harness may be found out. Cover these parts with foamed material, felt or something like that • cut off overlapping cable tie (rattle noise) • adhere felt or foamed material under the original wiring harness

7. installation of the door-lining onto the the car doors
7.1. Check up length of the screws and bolts:
☞
in order to prevent damages of mechanic parts of the car doors, please check once again the length of all bolts and screws on the back side of the door lining! No touch with any mechanic parts of the car doors ! (please shorten if necessary).
7.2. reinstall the doorlining - fit it in contrary order of succession as described on page no. 3 carefully clip on the plastic pins around the doorling
☞
7.3. carefully screw in the SPAX screws 6 + 7 through the door panel and the door lining to the door metal. observe cables and mechanic parts !
☞

7=
Spax 5,0 x 100
6=
Spax 5,0 x 60
7.4. cut out the moisture protection foil (u-form) and stabilize the lateral cutting edges in order to avoid vibration noise ( e.g. use a packing tape)

8. Crossover circuit - Speaker connection 8.1. precable crossovers - see fig. page 11. 8.2. install crossover – without housing; covered with foamed materialin the hollow space between doorlining und inner door metal (see fig) Check precise fit .
☞
*Important: protect the sheet bar against humidity and observe that the sheet bar does not touch any metal parts – danger of short circuit!
mount of Crossover
8.3. Insert subwoofer and midrange. connect all loudspeakers to the crossover circuit with the included standard cables for subwoofer to the crossover circuit: parallel wiring see diagram on page 11.
You should should check of all subwoofers Notice: You checkthe thepolarity polarity of all woofers after having before connecting them the crossover circuit connected them to thetocrossover circuit with a 9 volt battery with acable 9 volt on battery: (input the side of the amplifier).

9. Installation of the speaker’s grill: 9.1. Precisely align and carefully press grill into the Velcro fasteners.
☞
The Velcro fastener makes a crackling sound when it is closed correctly.
9.2. Our Tip: If the panel cannot be pressed on completely at some points. . . Cause:
the special form at these points and the resulting differences in material cross section of the grill.
Solution:
the distance can be levelled out with spacers 3 under the Velcro disc. (Spacers included with the screw kit)
