The STV software stack architecture has been designed to ensure a smooth transition from analog to digital TV. Our STVAPI settles down a stable interface to the chassis core application while being scalable towards digital TV reception, MHEG-5 support or MHP. The STV2310 is a high-quality digital chroma decoder supporting worldwide PAL, NTSC and SECAM analog standards. It outputs the digitized video on a standard CCIR-656 or CCIR-601 port. Manufactured on a high-density 0.18 micron CMOS process, the STV2310 provides the most cost-effective solution for digital consumer applications. The STV2310 is the first device in its category to combine an on-board data slicer with the ability to process analog RGB signals.
The STV0360 single-chip, digital COFDM terrestrial demodulator features a built-in A/D converter and implements all COFDM demodulation functions, from the ADC through to the MPEG2 transport stream. The device decodes DVB-T, supports 2K/8K carrier modulation modes and is compliant with NORDIG specifications.

The STV0399 integrates a ZIF tuner, QPSK/8-PSK demodulator and forward error correction block in a single integrated circuit that requires few external components. An additional Turbo Code FEC in the STV0499 provides up to 30% more bandwidth than conventional systems, while retaining backward compatibility.
The STV0297J Universal QAMFEC demodulator implements ITU-T J83 annexes A/B/C with integrated support for transport stream multiplex frame and all QAM constellations. The design of the STV0396 DOCSIS V1.1 cable modem chip has been optimized for use in low-cost data modems, data and voice modems, DOCSIS-enabled set-top boxes and gateways. In VoIP applications, characterized by PCI connectivity, the STV0397 DSP co-processor supports packetized voice, including embedded multimedia terminal adaptors in the PacketCable initiative.

STMicroelectronics offers a wide range of complementar Flash Memories The Digital Consumer revolution is accelerating the usage of flexible and high performing Flash memories able to respond to the increasing needs of worldwide manufacturers. LightFlashTM is a new group of devices from 16Mb to 64Mb ideal for digital consumer applications, including high definition TV. They support the standard Flash command set and are compliant with the standard Flash pinout; read operations are performed from a 2.7 to 3.6V power supply and features fast programming and erasing time.
