The F270xAD functions as the exchange side modem while the F271xAD functions as the subscriber side modem. For intercom or ring-down applications, the F271xAD is used at each end of the connection. An RJ-11 connector provides the copper interface for the telephone input and an RJ-45 connector provides the copper interface for the RS-485 or RS-422 data. LC fiber connectors provide the fiber optic interface. VERSITRON FOM II Series Fiber Optic Telephone Modems digitizing process allows for a fully transparent fiber optic link.
