Mealcounter Plus FCC – USA Quick Start Guide This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The MealCounter Plus has 2 features: • Counter that reminds you how many times your pet has been fed, given medication, walked, etc. • Resets itself nightly CAUTION: Modification or changes to this equipment not expressly approved by Radio Systems® Corporation may void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Note: This device is not water proof or water resistant. Function will be lost if unit is dropped, stepped on, or chewed. PAC00-14647 Follow the instructions to ensure your MealCounter Plus functions properly. Basic Setup Battery insertion should be done just before going to bed the night of purchase. Note: This will set the time of day in the unit that the number of feedings or medication given will be reset to zero daily. 5. Basic setup for the MealCounter Plus is now complete. Mounting, Placement, & Use 1. Apply the mounting of your choice • Magnetic dots • Double-stick adhesive tape 1. Open case using coin slot at each end. 5. The unit resets itself to zero daily at the time you first installed the battery or when you set the time in the unit per the advanced setup below. • Example: Beginning tomorrow, each time your pet is fed press the button on the front of the MealCounter Plus to indicate feeding has occurred. This will let you and other family members know how many times your pet has been fed for the day or if your pet has missed a feeding. For instance, if your pet has been fed twice that day the MealCounter Plus will flash twice every four (4) seconds. Advanced Setup Setting a reset time other than the time of day the batteries were installed. This procedure sets the current approximate time of day so the unit knows when midnight occurs. The device assumes 24 hour clock. 2. Insert one CR2032 battery into the holder, positive (+) side up. 1. If battery is already installed remove the battery for at least 15 seconds, and then re-insert. 3. An orange light will flash for 60 seconds following battery installation, turn solid and then stop. Note: Ensure orange light is flashing during this 60 second period, if not check battery for proper insertion. 4. Close case 2. Mount to chip clip, food storage container, or refrigerator 3. Press the button each time the pet is fed throughout the day • Make sure you see a green flash each time you push the button • Wait 5 seconds to verify count is correct • MAX number of feedings/medication given is six (6) per day 4. The unit displays the number of feedings by flashing the count every four (4) seconds. 2. Within 60 seconds (period in which orange LED flashes every 4 seconds): A. Hold down the button and count the number of flashes until it represents the hour closest to the current time of day. 8 AM = 8 Flashes 1 PM = 13 Flashes 6 PM = 18 Flashes 11 PM = 23 Flashes B. You can also press the button in correspondence with the time, i.e. 23 button presses is 11:00 PM. Make sure you see a corresponding green flash with each button press.
