IR Remote Control
EDID Control Settings
The KD-HD ProK switcher features IR sensors on the front and rear of the unit for reception of the IR signals, and can be operated using the IR remote control provided with your unit.
At times, your HDMI sources and display may not synchronize properly. This is when EDID* control should be utilized. KD-HD ProK Switchers feature an internal library of EDID settings to ensure your HDMI source’s output is compatible with the display devices.
Power Input Select
Please reset the unit by either unplugging and plugging the HDMI connections, or via a power cycle for the new settings to take effect.

Serial IR & IR Emitter Control The “Serial IR” port requires the use of a Male 3.5mm Mono cable (not included) with the IR command signal being carried on the “Tip” of the input inserted into the KD-HD ProK unit. The location of the IR signal may vary by control system used. Please verify the location of the IR signal with your control system. Ground Signal
Addressing Mode Units may be addressed when used in a cascaded configuration. To address your Champion Series switch, press the following buttons on the Key Digital IR remote control: R3 » R1 » R2 » XX
When using the IR Emitter / IR Extender (sold separately), the IR Emitter must be mounted over the IR Sensor on the KD-HD ProK unit. It is recommended that the rear IR sensor of the KD-HD ProK unit be utilized for these applications. One end of the cable is connected to the IR Receiver / Master Controller / IR Extender / IR Connecting Block, while the other end is mounted over the IR Sensor of the KD-HD ProK unit.
The XX characters will be replaced with the two digit address you wish to assign to the unit. The default address is 00--Single unit mode.
HPD Control You may force Hot Plug Detection (HPD) to a source, or use Normal HPD mode (default). ›› To set the Normal HPD mode (default) press the following buttons on the Key Digital IR remote
control: R1 » R2 » R3 » 0 » 1 ›› So set Forced HPD on, press the following: R1 » R2 » R3 » 0 » 0
Resetting to Factory Default To reset your unit to factory default, press and hold the Input Select button on the front panel for 10 seconds. *EDID (Extended display identification data) is a data structure provided by a display to describe its capabilities to a source device.

Example of EDID Auto Select: If one of your system’s displays supports 1080p and the second display only supports up to 1080i (does not support 1080p), then the highest common EDID format supported is 1080i. By choosing the Auto Select EDID Setting, your KD-HD ProK unit will inform your source device to output 1080i in order to ensure all displays receive a supported signal.

Description
Using iAS Intelligent Auto Sense™ Intelligent Auto Sense (iAS™) will automatically switch inputs when a Hot Plug Detect signal becomes active on an input. iAS™ can be enabled and disabled via IR or RS-232 control. Please note that many common HDMI sources, such as a cable or satellite boxes, will emit Hot Plug Detect signals when in stand-by mode and may prevent full functionality of iAS™. When the blue “Auto” button on the IR remote is pressed or the ‘SPC AS ON’ RS-232 command is sent, iAS will be activated on the KD-HD ProK unit. NOTE: iAS will be disabled when the input button on the front of the unit is pressed to switch inputs or if any of the input select/scroll buttons on the IR remote are pressed.
