Phantom® Antenna
For Laird SIAMnet™ System The Laird Phantom antenna is tough and low-profile, perfect complement for the SIAMnet system for underground mines and tunnels. Measuring only 3.7”, the 800 MHz antenna features field diversity with both vertical and horizontal polarization, giving the antenna diversity, frequency agility, low visibility, wide bandwidth and a low angle radiation pattern that is superior to traditional gain antennas in most applications. The antenna can be hung from the ceiling of the tunnel by stainless steel wires to ensure the antenna remains vertical in the event of disruption or accidental movement. The mounting hardware includes a stainless steel ground plate designed to maximize the performance of the antenna in all underground mining situations. The antenna features an 75 ohm in-line impedance adapter allowing it to interface directly with the 75 Ohm SIAMnet infrastructure.

The 800MHz LMR band propagates better than VHF or UHF in confined spaces while the 806-869MHz bandwidth supports analog or digital two-way voice and mobile data.
