PiCom intercom unit C O D R I V E R RO A D/S TAG E /A MAIN UX D R I V E R Introduction The PiCom Intercom meets the demanding needs of the World Rally Championship, which makes it highly suitable for all other rallying classes, as well as other forms of motorsport. The PiCom functions are fully configurable via a simple PC interface. The unit has two normal modes of operation: Stage mode and Road mode. In Stage mode the radio and phone inputs are muted so as not to disturb the driver and co-driver. The microphone and headphone levels can be adjusted in Stage mode to any combination which gives the best performance for the driver and co-driver. The unit also has a CAN interface, which can be used for tone based alarms and warnings, instead of the customary dash board warnings. In Road mode the phone and radio are active; the unit also comes with an additional (AUX) input which can be used for connection of CD, MP3 or external radio devices. The intercom has a secondary mode: AUX (or Backup) mode, which can be used in the event of the main intercom failing.
