Riser location will vary depending on the faucet centers and the width of the tub rim. We recommend that the spout of your faucet extend out approximately 3-5" over the interior of the tub. Refer to Drawing A and B for flooring and rough-in information. Drawing A Drawing B Pierre Freestanding Tub Faucet Installation Instructions 1 2. When assembling riser sections, the lock nuts and washers in Drawing A are used for securing the fixtures to wood flooring. Your instructions may need to be modified if you are securing risers to concrete flooring. Consult a professional if you are unfamiliar with installing bathroom fixtures in locations with concrete flooring. For lock nuts above or below the floor, the flat surfaces of the lock nuts face the surface of the floor. Use the rubber washer above the floor and the metal washer below floor.. 3. Use Loctite thread sealant on the threads of both of the riser sections that connect to the straight stop (shut-off) valves. Wipe off any excess sealant and allow the compound to cure undisturbed for twenty four hours. For all threaded connections, hand tighten plus a quarter turn. Do not overtighten. Align the handles on the straight stop valves so that they are parallel with the edge of the tub rim and facing out from the risers. 4. Wrap plumber's tape around threads at the bottom of the lower riser sections. 5. Apply plumber's tape to the 3/4" adapter threads for threading into the female ends of your water line ells. 6. Secure the female ells to the supports at the floor joists. 7. Connect your water lines to the ells. 8. Use your level to verify that both riser sections are properly aligned and confirm that the horizontal portions of the upper riser sections are level and parallel with each other, perpendicular to edge of tub rim, and 6” apart from center to center. 9. Turn the handles to close the straight stop valves and briefly turn on the main water supply to check for leaks. If no leaks are detected, turn off the water supply and continue with the installation. If leakage does occur, use your adjustable wrench to tighten the connections as necessary. If problems persist, contact Customer Service at 1-866-855-2284. 10. Secure the lower riser sections and finish the floor. 11. Install the connector nuts and connector nut washers onto the top ends of the riser sections. 12. Use silicone thread sealant on the threads and connect the faucet body to the top ends of the risers. Thread sealant requires a minimum of 24 hours cure time. (Refer the Drawing B and C for Steps 12 - 18.) Drawing C Pierre Freestanding Tub Faucet Installation Instructions 2 13. Install a washer inside the base of the hand-held shower cradle and attach the cradle onto the faucet body. 14. Install a washer in one end of the shower hose and attach this end of the hose to the shower cradle outlet. Install a washer inside the free end of the shower hose and attach the hand-held shower to end of the hose. 15. Place the hand-held shower in the cradle. 16. Turn on the main water supply. 17. Open the left and right shut-off valves. 18. To remove debris, turn the hot and cold handles to the “on” position and let the water run through the spout for approximately 60 seconds. If you have a hand shower, divert the water to the hose and allow the water to flow through the hose for approximately 60 seconds. Repeat as necessary for any attachments. Check to make sure that all connections are tight (no water should be leaking). Pierre Freestanding Tub Faucet Installation Instructions 3
