Micro Portable Multimedia LCD Projector
PLC-SW30
Extremely bright, high-quality images even when projecting in a well-lit room
Perfect images anytime, anywhere Compact size and lightweight design Designed with mobility in mind, the PLC-SW30 is compact and lightweight. And due to SANYO's innovative optical technology and 0.5" polysilicon TFT LCD panels, this mobile projector produces high-resolution pictures of outstanding brightness.
Front exhaust mechanism creates a comfortable environment for presentations Taking comfort into consideration, the air outlet of the PLC-SW30 optical system is now positioned on the front of the projector for more effective absorption and dissipation of heat. Plus, a fan rotation linear control circuit has been incorporated to control the rotation speed of the lamp cooling fan. Speed is controlled according to the ambient temperature without lowering the intensity of the lamp.
Keystone correction produces undistorted images Short-throw, 1.2x zoom lens for flexible setup The short-throw lens on the PLC-SW30 projects largescreen images even in small rooms, and the 1.2x manual zoom lets you adjust the size to meet your needs. Together they give you great portability and a system that you can set up just about anywhere.
The keystone correction function digitally and automatically alters the projection. This effectively solves the familiar problem of distorted images, which occur when a projector is placed in a less than ideal location. As the positioning of the PLC-SW30 can be corrected up to 20 degrees, this projector brings far more flexibility to your presentations.
"My Screen" Function Simplifies Startup or Default Screen Projection The My Screen function lets you easily capture an image projected on the screen for use as a startup or default screen. For example, you can project your company logo each time you start up the projector. You can also project the image whenever you want by using the My Screen button on the remote control. Note: Only signals input to the DVI terminal can be used for the My Screen function. You cannot capture RGB digital/analog signals with resolution of more than 1024 lines x 768 dots. Each time you capture a new image, the previous image is erased.
Delivers 1,250 lm for bright, easy-to-see images
10-bit digital gamma correction
The PLC-SW30 uses a 160-watt UHP lamp as a light source, which provides outstanding color balance and high power. When used in combination with the highly efficient optical system, the PLC-SW30 produces images with brightness up to 1,250 lm.
The gamma correction function reproduces highly natural tones with no annoying black and white spots. In addition to Standard mode, the PLC-SW30 also offers Cinema mode for movies and Real mode for graphics. Plus, the projector has four user memories for image adjustments.
Progressive scan for smooth moving pictures
3D-AUCC circuit
The PLC-SW30's high-performance progressive scan circuit makes moving pictures smooth and clear. And its 3-2 pulldown compatibility assures superior image quality from film sources.
The 3D Automatic Uniformity Correction Control (AUCC) circuit corrects color shading caused by brightness differences to an accuracy ten times greater than conventional models. This results in more natural-looking gradation.
Additional features for top presentation performance Presentation Remote Control
Features that support powerful presentations
In addition to the remote control, a presentation remote control and a USB wireless receiver unit come supplied with the PLC-SW30. While giving presentations, you can control various functions of the computer. For instance, you can switch the presentation pages back and forth using the up/down keys.
• Presentation timer The PLC-SW30 displays the elapsed time on screen to help you stay within presentation time limits. The clock starts when the P-TIMER button is pressed.
• Freeze function The image can be temporarily frozen during a presentation to pause and display it as a still picture.
• No-show function
Component input terminals enable high-quality DVD and HDTV projection Both serial and USB component input terminals are provided as standard equipment on the PLC-SW30 to accept direct HDTV signal input.
DRIT allows PC connection and SXGA projection
You can stop projecting images at any time during a presentation, when a short break is needed.
Other features • GUI menu supporting 12 languages • Built-in amplifier and speaker (0.8 W, monaural) • Rear and hanging projection • Soft carrying case provided • multi-function remote control provided
Digital Realized Interpolation Technology (DRIT) in the PLC-SW30 supports resolutions ranging from SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) to VGA (640 x 480). NOTE: As SXGA images are compressed, some parts of the image may be lost.
