FIRMWARE UPGRADE INFORMATION Powerline AV Network Adapter model: PLE300 Powerline AV 4-Port Network Adapter model: PLS300 Before You Begin If you have changed the Network Password on your Powerline AV Adapters, then reset the Network Password to its default, HomePlugAV. On every Powerline AV Adapter, press and hold the Reset button for three seconds. Instructions 1. Extract the UpgradeTool.zip file to your computer. 2. To install the firmware upgrade utility, double-click setup.exe and follow the on-screen instructions. 3. After the utility is installed, double-click the desktop shortcut, UpgradeTool. 4. On the Network screen, click the MAC address of the Powerline AV Adapter whose firmware you want to upgrade. (The MAC address is displayed on the label on the bottom of the Powerline AV Adapter.) Click Select. 5. To upgrade the firmware, click Upgrade. The progress bar shows you the status of the firmware upgrade. Do not turn off the Powerline AV Adapter during the firmware upgrade. 2 6. When the firmware upgrade is complete, click OK. 7. Repeat steps 4-6 for every Powerline AV Adapter in your network. © 2009 Cisco Systems, Inc. All rights reserved.
