SATELLITE RECEIVER SET-UP Items received: (1) Satellite Receiver (1) Remote (1) 3’ Coaxial Cable (1) 10’ Coaxial Cable (20’ is also available please ask) 1. Connect the coaxial cables: (Looking at the back of the receiver) 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. a. Attach the 10’ coaxial cable to the coaxial connection labeled “CONNECT TO TV JACK” (left) and attach the other end to the Wall Jack. b. Attach the 3’ coaxial cable to the coaxial connection labeled “CONNECT TO TV OR VCR” (right) and attach the other end to the TV. Plug in and Power on your TV. Set your TV input to channel 3. Plug in and Power on the Satellite Receiver. The Satellite Receiver will go through acquiring signal programming. Once this is completed, turn on your TV and box to see if the following message is displayed *Do Not Call the 800 number listed on your screen. You will not be able to activate the service this way. 8. If you are able to view this message, send an email to [email protected] that you have completed setup. Include in your email your house and room number. If you have problems or questions call G-Tech at (717) 337-6935. 9. The GTECH Office will send the request for final programming. Please keep your Satellite Receiver turned on during this time. ***Please allow 24-48 hours before you receive any programming.*** Off-Campus TV Channel Lineup: http://www.gettysburg.edu/about/offices/it/telecom/off-campus-tv.dot IMPORTANT!!!! OVER WINTER BREAK: Unplug the Satellite Receiver Your receiver may lose its programming during this time. When you return, power on the device and see if you still have programming.
