Please set up awning and other raining-proof and sun-proof facilities. No big metal or strong magnetic field around this detector within 2 meters to prevent interference. If the door near the installation location is metal, please keep the gap between this detector and the gate over 1000mm ( the gap can be adjust against the gate size). Keep the installation locate away from the power supply wire and communication cable as far as possible. The probe should not be installed in high temperature and moist environment. There is no component in the control box can be disassembled by the user except the professionals. This detector will get the best detecting effect after 10 seconds self-inspection when starting up. This detector should be installed in the flat and shock free ground surface reposefully, and people should avoid touching it when pass it. We advise you to install a power wire in the ceiling, thus you can connect the power of this detector much easier. Every detector is attached with a warranty card which can make this detector be maintained within the warranty period free of charge. The user can configure the detection of this detector according to the size and weight of the metal article to some exclude error alarms for coins, keys, jewelries, belt buckles etc. For some places where needs special attention to the loss of expensive metal articles such as factory, mine back and luxury house and other places where should be free of dangerous metal articles such as airport, customhouse, jail, exhibition halls, this detector is the optimum product. m 2 【Interference】 zp be The interferences that can interfere with the operation of this detector are described as follows: Mechanical interference Revolving door: the distance between the revolving door and this detector should be 1000 mm. Make sure the door is opened outwards. For two doors, this detector should be installed on one of them, and we advise you to lock the other door. For Metal door, we advise you to cut one corner of the metal door frame to insulate its metal loop. After installing this detector, rotate the door back and forth to check the installation effect. ek Electronic interference There are many objects that can produce electronic interference to this detector such as elevator, motor, TV set, computer monitor telephone wire and mobile phone. Keep these objects away from this detector. If there is any consistent serious interference occurs, please inquire you dealer. sh a- The moving object If this detector is installed too close from the road, the go and from large vehicles will influent its normal work. Therefore, we advise you to keep this detector away from the road as far as possible when install it. Parallel-in application requirement While in parallel-in application, the min. distance between the tow detectors should be over 700 mm to avoid the interference from each other. o .c op m 3 【Performance and features】 ☆ ☆ be Indication for alarm zone: The build-in LED display at the panel can display the forbidden article hidden in the body at corresponding height. Six detection zones: Six overlapped detection zones. It can alarm at same time according to the distribution of metal articles and precisely report its position. Audible and visual alarm: Volume and tone is adjustable with three options for alarm sound: high, low and mute, which is applicable different time and location. Zone sensitivity adjustable: In maximum sensitivity, it can detect the metal in size of coin. The sensitivity for each zone can be self-adjusted in the range of 0-99. It should pre-set the weight, volume and position for metal articles, so as to prevent error alarm for coins, keys, jewelries and belt buckles, etc. Strong interference resistance: By applying digital, analog and left-right balancing technology, it can effectively prevent error alarm and alarm failure, largely promoting its ability for interference resistance. Infrared sensor 【Installation】 Please read through the Precautions prior to installation of Walk-through Metal Detector, so as to ensure a normal operation for the product and avoid external interference. sh a- ek zp be 1. Take the product out from the package and place it on the foam board as the right figure. o .c op 2. Screw out 8 screws on the upper cover of base unit case. m 3. With the display panel for the base unit case upward, place the left probe as the figure and connect the left probe and base unit case with screws. 4. Place the right probe as the figure, and connect the right detecting plate and the base unit case with screws. 6 【Installation】 5. Respectively insert the left and right probe signal cables A and B ( A for left probe signal cable and B for right one ) on both sides of probe plate into socket A (left) and B (right), which correspond with the main board of base unit case. ek zp be A B 6. Install the screw on the cover for the base unit case. sh a- 7. The Walk-through metal detector is placed upright in vertical position by three persons and moved the desired position. 8. Connect the power line by the outlet at left back of base unit case. o .c op m 7 【Panel】 zp be Head counting: count the persons passing the detector Times for alarm: count the times for detector alarm Standby indicator: no alarm indication (green). Alarm indicator: alarm indication (red). Intensity indication: indication for intensity of signal as detecting the metal with more lights lit for stronger signal 6. DEBUG key: debugging key for changing parameters during debugging 7. SELE key: programming key to enter the debugging interface. In debugging for sensitivity for each zone, it can be conversed to setup the sensitivity for the next zone, and the zone can be switched when changing the password. 8. Enter key: The password, sensitivity level may be selected during debugging; if you press and hold it for 5 seconds, the parameters of system will restore to the defaults. 9. Volume indicator: indicator for volume. Red: for larger volume; green: smaller volume; no indication: mute 10. VOL key: volume adjustment key. Red: larger volume; green: smaller volume; no indication: no volume. 9. Power indicator: power-on state for detector (green) or power-off state (yellow). 10. ON/OFF/RESET key: two modes: 1. press and hold the key for 1 second to power on or off, 2. press the key within 1 second to reset for clearance of the times for alarm and the number of passed persons, and to count again sh a- ek 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. o .c op m 8 【Zone Description】 zp be A. Standby indication: It means the detector has entered the working state for waiting for detection. The standby indicators(respectively on the left and right probe) are in on or off state; green for on state indicating standby state; off for alarm state(with alarm indicator). sh a- ek B. Alarm Zone display: There are 6 units of unique zone LED evenly distributed on the pannel, which respectively indicate 6 zones( Zone 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 from upper to lower). The Zone display light has tow states: on or off. The red alarm light will be on if detecting the metal contents reach or exceed the standard. If there are multiple alarm objectives, the alarm indicator for each objective will be on with alarm sound(except for mute). o .c op C. Infrared sensor After connecting with power, the detector begins to run. The infrared sensor can effectively prevent error alarm when no body or article passing it. All the metal detectors will make error alarm due to some machines around it, so it can help to avoid error alarm and promote and count precisely the pass through volume. If it alarms as one passing the metal detector for whatever causes, he should be detected again by metal detector or hand-held metal detector. m 9 【Display Panel】 Description for LED displayed data: be 1. “1234” factory password, which can be changed for preventing illegal operation by non-administrator. For change method, please refer to the “Operating Procedure”. 2. “C0000” means the input password is correct and “E000” wrong. sh a- ek zp 3. 1-xx indicates the sensitivity for the zone 1, For example, 1-85 means that the sensitivity for the zone 1 is 85. In the same way, zone 2-6 xx means the sensitivity for the zone 2-6. The sensitivity for the zone 1-6 will increase with increasing of number. Please refer to the “Operating Procedure” for changing method. o .c op m 10 【Operating Procedure】 Press and hold the ON/OFF key for 1 second in condition of safe power connection to power on, and enter the working state for the metal detector (same for powering off). The operation is as follow: ek zp be 1. Press the SELE key, factory password 1234 will appear. 2. Press the ENTER key again, and there will be two possible states. A: “C000” for correct password B: “E000” for incorrect sh a- A. Right B. Wrong op 3. If the password is correct, and it needs to re-set the new password (press PROG key for changing password, it will display (if the new password is 2345)), the operation is as follow: o .c m 11 【Operating Procedure】 4. If the password is incorrect, you may re-input the correct one through “Reset”. You may input the universal password “8888” if you forget it, and re-set the new one. The method is as follow: ek zp be If the new password is “2345”, please input 2, 3, 4, and 5 by “SELE” and “PROG” key. As the it displays “2345” in the panel, press the ENTER key sh aop o .c After change the password and confirming it is correct, press the ENTER key to enter the sensitivity setting for each zone. For example, the sensitivity for zone 1 is 85, it can be changed by the SELE key. For example, it can be changed to 90. m 12 【Operating Procedure】 5. Press the SELE key to enter the sensitivity setting for the next zone. For example, the sensitivity for zone 2 is 80; if it needs to be changes, it also be reached by the SELE key as above, and the method is the same for that of zone 3-6 ek zp be 6. After setting the sensitivity of zone 1~6, press the ENTER key to return to detection state. sh ao .c op m 13 sh aek zp be o .c op m 14 【Adjustment of Article Detection】 zp be When detect the metal articles on people passing through, it does not intend to detect the small metal articles such as ring and key but some big metal articles, at this moment follow the following method to make an adjustment: 1.) Choose a small metal article as a sample which is in the detecting range of unwanted, such as a string of keys; 2.) Turn up the sensitivity and take the metal sample pass through this detector, and it will alarm; 3.) Turn down the sensitivity appropriately and take the metal sample pass through this detector again, and if it still alarms, further turn down the sensitivity until there is no alarm when the metal sample passes through this detector. ek Please remember, if the sensitivity of some one zone needs to be turned down, it only need to adjust the corresponding zone; After the foresaid adjustment, this detector will not alarm when it has detected small metal articles but will detect the big metal articles precisely. sh a- If this detector alarms when the under detecting people walks through it, it means there are some hidden metal articles on him.
