PMC-VIDEO-AI2 Includes two video digitizers, FIFOs, and a DMA engine
The PMC-VIDEO-AI2 includes two video digitizers, FIFOs, and a DMA engine. Each video digitizer provides luminance and chrominance signal processing for NTSC M, NTSC N, NTSC 4.43, NTSC-Japan, PAL BGHI, PAL N, PAL M, and SECAM. Once the interface has been initialized it transfers frame-after-frame of video input to host memory without host intervention. It can transfer all frames from two channels for either 8-bit or 16-bit format. Each input digitizer provides an analog preprocessing circuit, anti-aliasing filter, ADC, automatic clamp and gain control, clock generation circuit, digital multi-standard decoder (NTSC M, NTSC N, NTSC 4.43, NTSC-Japan, PAL BGHI, PAL N, PAL M, and SECAM.), and a brightness/ contrast/ saturation control. Accepts CVBS or S-video (Y/ C) from TV or VTR. Applications include security monitoring, alarm systems; multimedia, digital television, and image processing. See also the Phillips SAA7111A specification sheet.
