PoE-EXT – description and technical parameters PoE-EXT are PoE extractors with 10/100M PoE+ input. From the input PoE+ supply of METEL switches of LAN-RING series, it is possible to supply one PoE compatible device and one device supplied by 12VDC/max. 1A. A typical example is supplying of PoE camera and IR illumination.

PoE-SPT – description and technical parameters PoE-SPT are PoE splitters with 10/100M PoE+ input. From the input PoE+ supply of METEL switches of LAN-RING or LAN-BUS series, it is possible to supply one PoE incompatible device 12VDC/max. 0,5A. A typical example is connection of a camera incompatible with PoE and supplying of IR illumination. Parameter

BSU-48100 – description and technical parameters BSU-48100 are back-up modules of PoE supply +48VDC. Typical application of BSU-48100 is backing-up of ML100.105 and QS10.481 sources supplying METEL switches. Parameters of supply can be set by DIP switches on the supplies or over Ethernet from SIMULand software. RS485 bus is used for interconnection with LAN-RING switches. Back-up: lead-acid accumulator 12V (gel) - automatic check of battery level - charging to constant voltage with current limit - overcharge check - periodic check of charge, keeping the battery charged - charge and discharge state indication - automatic back-up switch-on on main supply voltage drop - automatic back-up switch-off – prevention of complete discharge - communication bus EIA485 - setting, state monitoring, parameter list Parameter

DIP 1 in position OFF - Charging current is set by DIP switches DIP2, DIP3 and DIP4. DIP2 DIP3 DIP4 Charging current OFF OFF OFF 1.5 A ON OFF OFF 2A OFF ON OFF 2.5 A ON ON OFF 3A OFF OFF ON 3.5 A ON OFF ON 4A OFF ON ON 4.5 A ON ON ON 5A Set operating mode using DIP5 and DIP6 switches. DIP5 DIP6 Mode OFF OFF supplying load without recharging of accumulator ON OFF charging accumulator, output 48VDC is off OFF ON charging ON-LINE (output 48VDC is activated continually*) ON ON charging OFF-LINE (output 48VDC is activated only on input supply failure*) * Output voltage on Vout+ terminal must be set by Vout trimmer to value 1V lower than input voltage. Therefore, default factory setting of module output voltage is 47VDC. 4. Connect backed-up device According to the pictures at paragraph 2 connect the backed-up device. Indication LEDs on the front panel indicate LED POWER – on -> active supply of processor part, i.e. the device is on LED ERROR – on -> module failure, e.g. battery not connected, battery short-circuited, ... LED CHARGER - indicates charging status off -> charging is off fast blinking -> test of battery connection slow blinking -> charging in “current charging” mode on and periodically short off -> charging in “voltage limiting” mode (battery almost charged) on -> battery is fully charged LED OUTPUT - off -> output voltage is not generated on -> output voltage is generated and accumulator is OK blinking -> output voltage is generated and accumulator is close to discharge
