Pull this tag out and discard. • The “ON” button can be found on the left hand side of the keypad. Press this button to activate the POINTS Calculator. NB: Please note that your POINTS Calculator will automatically turn off after 3 minutes to conserve battery life. Back to top 3 CALCULATOR 20/12/06 14:20 Page 4 Entering your POINTS allowance 1. Press the “ND“ (New Day) key. 2. Type in your POINTS allowance. 3. Press the “ENTER“ key. 4. The screen will display your POINTS allowance for the day. Back to top 4 CALCULATOR 20/12/06 14:20 Page 5 How to calculate POINTS values 1. Press the “POINTS” key. For Example: 2. Type in the calories per portion. 3. Press the “ENTER” key. 4. Type in the saturated fat per portion. 5. Press the “ENTER” key. 6. The POINTS values show on screen. NB: If you wish to multiply these POINTS values, e.g. if you have two portions of the food you are calculating, press the “x” key and then type in the number you wish to multiply these POINTS values by and press “=”.Using 5 CALCULATOR 20/12/06 14:20 Page 6 How to calculate POINTS values 7. Press the “USE” key to use these POINTS values and deduct them from your remaining POINTS allowance. 8. Press the “ENTER” key to confirm and your POINTS values left will display on the screen, or press “C” to exit without using the POINTS values. NB: If you enter the wrong number press “CE” at any stage to clear the value on screen.sing Back to top 6 CALCULATOR 20/12/06 14:20 Page 7 Using POINTS values If you already know the POINTS values you want to use and you wish to deduct them from your POINTS allowance: 1. Press the “USE” key. 2. Type in the number of POINTS values you want to use. 3. Press “ENTER” to confirm and your POINTS values left will display on the screen, or press “C” to exit without using the POINTS values. Back to top 8 CALCULATOR 20/12/06 14:20 Page 9 Changing the battery 1. The battery in your POINTS Calculator is a 3v lithium battery type CR2025. 2. Remove the battery door on the base of your POINTS Calculator by pulling the door away from the calculator and lifting it off. 3. Lift up the old battery by inserting a ballpoint pen into the recessed area and gently lever out. 4. Put the new battery (positive + side up) back into the compartment by sliding it under the lip and pressing down. 5. Replace the battery door over the battery compartment by sliding and securing it back in place. Within this period, any defects resulting from faults in materials or workmanship will be repaired or exchanged. Damage arising from improper use (immersion in water, tampering or breakage), normal wear and tear, or defects which have negligible effect on the value or operation of the calculator are not covered by the Guarantee. The battery is not covered under the Guarantee.
