The product shall only be operated by someone over the age of 18, of sound mind, and not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct operation of this machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing. Any modification to the machine voids any warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine or in the vicinity of the machine while in operation. CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL Upon receipt of an Omcan shipment please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the external packaging, open carton to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and there is no concealed damaged to the machine. If the package has suffered rough handling, bumps or damage (visible or concealed), please note it on the bill of lading before accepting the delivery and contact Omcan within 24 hours, so we may initiate a claim with the carrier. A detailed report on the extent of the damage caused to the machine must be filled out within three days, from the delivery date shown in the shipping documents. Omcan has no recourse for damaged products that were shipped collect or third party. The unit is environment-friendly with an excellent design. It includes components to maximize power saving, complete functions and is easy to operate. The unit is easy to clean. Please review this manual prior to use and follow the cleaning instructions. Safety and Warranty Operations and repairs of this product must be performed by the experts or qualified persons or those who have gotten the license of installation, or those who are authorized by the manufacturer. • • • • • • • • • When conducting installation or maintenance, please obey the following instructions carefully to ensure the safe use of this appliance. Please keep this instruction manual for future reference. Make sure none of the parts are missing or damaged upon arrival. If there is any doubt about the product, please do not use it, and contact Omcan at 1-800-465-0234. Keep the packing material out of reach of the children to avoid accident. This appliance could be only operated by the person who is familiar with the unit. When not using the appliance or the operator is absent, please turn off the unit to avoid any accidental injury or damage. The unit can only be repaired by trained personnel and only use original parts. It will be dangerous if not following the above requirements. Do not rinse the equipment with water directly. Clean the surface of stainless steel periodically with appropriate method to prevent any damage brought by oxidization or any other chemical interference. 3 Safety and Warranty IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS 1. The machine should be put in stable and firm surface. Avoid direct contact with sunlight or rain. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner. Do not use outdoors. 2. Machine needs to be plugged into 110V dedicated circuit to operate properly. When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed. 3. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord in the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control “off” then remove the plug from wall outlet. 4. Unplug the power cord from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. WARNING 1. Water must NEVER be put on the popping kettle. 2. DO NOT touch inside parts when the machine is hot as it may cause serious injury. 1 YEAR WARRANTY The packaging components are classified as normal solid urban waste and can therefore be disposed of without difficulty. For suitable recycling, we suggest disposing of the products separately (differentiated waste) according to local standards. DO NOT DISCARD ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT! The unit should not be transported sideways or shook. The unit should not be placed in an outdoor area. It should be put in storage which has good ventilation and has no corrosive gases present. If must be put in outdoor area, do not let the unit be in contact with direct sunshine and rain. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Turn on the WARM and HEATING switches on the top of cabinet. Wait 3~6 minutes for kettle to heat up. 2. When machine is ready, turn on, to start the motor. 3. Add corn & oil (and seasoning salt if desired) to the kettle. DO NOT OVERFILL. 4. Close the doors or the oil and popcorn will immediately spray out all over the sides of the machine. 5. When the popping stops, turn off the unit. Always have the kettle motor switch OFF when not popping corn. 6. Dump popped corn by releasing the kettle, rotating the black handle and pulling downward. Put the kettle back in place using the black handle to hook the kettle to the holding bolt. 7. If you are making several batches continuously, you do not have to wait for machine to reheat. It will already be pre-heated. 8. In order to keep your popcorn warm, turn the WARM switch on. 9. Motor air intake and exhaust holes of the machine must be clear of any obstructions. Maintenance 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Clean your popcorn machine after every use. Make sure the machine is unplugged and the kettle has completely cooled. Wipe all oils off the inside and outside of the kettle with a DRY clean soft cloth. Do not use benzene, scrubbing brushes or chemical cleaners, as these will damage the machine. NEVER immerse the base of machine in water or let water drip inside. 5 Troubleshooting Problem Lights are off while turned on. Cause The power cord is not properly plugged into the outlet or the machine. The motor does not rotate/heat when the TURN switch is on. The heating temperature is too high or too low. The heating tube line is loose/ burnt. The constant temperature element is out of order. 6 Solutions Turn off all switches and make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into the outlet and machine. Turn on the switch again. Tighten the line/change the heating tube. Change the element.
