Continuous Mode
Press the Cont. button to constantly run the dehumidifier. The humidity level cannot be manually set when the unit is operating in continuous mode.
Emptying the Water Tank
When the water tank is full, the Full light illuminates and the display reads “P2.” If the dehumidifier is running, the compressor turns OFF (though the fan may continue to run). 1. Grip the handles on the sides of the water tank and slowly pull the tank out of the unit. Do not place the tank on the floor as its uneven bottom may cause it to spill. 2. Empty the tank and carefully replace it in the unit. If the unit is ON, operation will resume once the tank is properly reinstalled.
Continuous Drainage
To continuously drain water from the unit, 1. Confirm the unit is powered OFF. 2. Remove the cover from the drain hose outlet. 3. Thread the female end of a garden hose [or other hose (5/16-inch-ID or greater) with garden hose thread, not included] onto the unit’s drain hose outlet. Ensure the hose is securely attached to the outlet. 4. Direct the other hose end to a floor drain or other suitable disposal area. 5. Turn the unit ON, then select the operation mode and program settings as desired. Detach the drain hose and replace the outlet cover when the continuous drainage function is not in use.
Auto-Shutoff
The unit will turn OFF when the water tank reaches capacity. The unit will also turn OFF automatically when the set humidity level is reached. The fan motor may continue to run even when dehumidifying function has ceased.
Auto-Defrost
When frost accumulates on the evaporator coils, the compressor will automatically turn OFF and the fan will continue to run until the evaporator coils defrost.
Auto-Restart
After a power interruption, the unit will restart automatically using the previously programmed settings. To protect the unit, the compressor will not restart until three minutes after shutting down.
Comfort Mode
When operating in comfort mode, the unit automatically adjusts the humidity level according to the ambient temperature to maintain a comfortable environment. The automated humidity levels are shown in the chart below. When comfort mode is active, the humidity level cannot be manually set. Ambient Temperature
