We have many examples of customer batteries that have been in service for more than five years in a fast charge application, as well as a heavy-duty auto manufacturing customer who owned fast-charges batteries that retained 92% of their rated capacity after three hardworking years.
PosiCharge systems are products of AeroVironment, Inc. (AV), an American technology company that designs, manufactures, markets, and supports efficient electric energy systems. Seven vehicles developed by AV and its people are in the Smithsonian Institution’s permanent collection. AV has made its mark in the electric vehicle (EV) world as a major systems developer for the first practical electric vehicle, the General Motors Impact. Automatic Watering
Our system architecture, accessories, and approach to applications engineering are focused on three things: keeping your operations running, making your batteries last, and doing it all at an optimum cost to your operation. From the closed-loop charge control of our fast-charge line, to our Battery Rx corrective and preventive maintenance system, to our cost effective Port Splitter, our technologies help make the most of your operations.
Our hands-free automatic watering system waters the battery at just the right time and to the right levels to ensure maximum battery health. The system also eliminates battery overflow that can be harmful to your employees and compromise your operations.
Universality
Plug-n-Charge
Our higher output lines (SVS, DVS, 2500 Series) enable you to mix charges throughout the facility, so that any vehicle in the fleet can use any PosiCharge model without worrying about the damage to the battery.
The Plug-n-Charge kit simplifies truck integration by eliminating the need for truck modifications. The ultimate in in-vehicle charging usability and safety, Plug-n-Charge also automatically disconnects the drive system when the charger is plugged in, preventing drive away issues.
Port Splitter
Cooling Dock
The PosiCharge Port Splitter plugs into the charger and makes two ports out of a single charger. A cost-effective solution for staggered-break or spare-truck charging, the Port Splitter helps reduce peak-hour demand costs and makes in-vehicle charging more affordable.
This proprietary device enables electric forklifts to support the most demanding of operations. By actively cooling the battery by as much as 10°C, battery capacity can be increased by 50%. Like Plug-n-Charge, the Cooling Dock automatically cuts off the truck motor when the charger is plugged in.

Our proprietary system combines smart battery management, cellular wireless communication, and userfriendly software to give you the latest in data based fleet management. Battery Rx monitors, records, and reports the health of your battery – while also recommending rotation schedules and advising users on estimated battery life expectancy. Battery Rx can wireless report warranty deviations and features data storage that can accommodate eight years of battery and charge data.

PosiCharge SVS/DVS The PosiCharge SVS and DVS are premium intelligent battery charging systems that range in power capability from 5kW for lower-duty vehicles to 30kW for the hardest working forklifts. Safety
PosiCharge SVS and DVS offer an extensive array of features, including charger and battery data management, the Battery Monitor and Identifier Module (BMID), precise charging control, electrolytic thermistor, our “easy-service” modular cable system, and out dynamic equalization scheduler that delivers weekly EQ compliance without assigning specific chargers to trucks.

SVS models are based on our robust single-port architecture for maximum flexibility and modularity. The DVS is a dual port charging system that offers a low cost alternative in locations where trucks are parked in pairs. The SVS and DVS product lines feature robust and proven technology, a broad power range, multi-voltage flexibility, and value added options that can support any material handling battery regardless of type, brand, voltage or size. These systems are also fully compatible with the PosiCharge Battery Rx system.
