POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: REPORTS TO: Catering and Contract Sales Manager/Coordinator Director of Food and Beverage BACKGROUND: Liberty’s Kitchen provides a platform for New Orleans youth to create and achieve their vision of success. We achieve our mission through a combination of healthy food access, workforce training, and leadership development programs. As a social enterprise, Liberty’s Kitchen supports its nonprofit mission with teaching-focused businesses including our working café and coffee house, catering services, contracted school meals, and wholesale food production line. These businesses provide hands-on experience for Youth Development Program participants as well as financial support to sustain and expand social impact. POSITION SCOPE: The Catering and Contract Sales Manager/Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all of Liberty’s Kitchen’s catering sales efforts, including client development, procurement of non-food items, staffing, event planning/execution, and follow up/feedback. The team member also leads new client acquisition for all School Nutrition Program and other contract meal clients. Additional event coordination responsibilities will be assigned as needed. This is a SALARY/FULL-TIME POSITION and will require occasional weekend and/or extended hours. RESPONSIBILITIES: Catering, Wholesale Sales and Event Coordination      Responsible for all catering and wholesale sales, including client solicitation, order processing, delivery/logistics, and payment. Maintain positive relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business Maintain current client database. Serve as the lead/coordinator for all catering-related events, including staffing, logistics, set-up, execution, break-down, and follow up. Work closely with Career Development Manager and other program staff to provide student/graduate staffing at events as needed. School Nutrition   Lead new client acquisition for school nutrition and other contract meal services. Work closely with School Nutrition Program Operations Manager to ensure that food quality, sanitation, and customer service are delivered at a consistently high standard for all school clients.
