Leaders in Mobile Technology Charging and Connectivity How to daisy-chain two or more Cambrionix PowerPad15S Managed-USB hubs to provide more than 15 downstream data/ charge ports. 12V Connection to supplied PSU To an additional host port on another PowerPad15S if required. Click the PowerPad15S image to jump straight through to the product page. Notes: • • • • • The green lines indicate where a USB Type A to Type A Cable is required. This is commonly called a USB A-A cable. One is supplied with each PowerPad15S. A USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable is required to operate with USB Type-C products such as the 2017 Apple MacBooks. The red lines are power cabling from the supplied 12V 180W PSU. The maximum amount of PowerPad15S products which can be daisy-chained is 5. This is to ensure that USB hub depth limitations are not exceeded. When daisy-chaining multiple PowerPad15S products together, the total number of ports is equal to (n*15)-(n-1) where ’n’ is the number of PowerPad15’s in the chain. So, for the maximum chain of 5 we get (5*15)-(5-1) = (75)-(4) = 71 downstream ports in total. • The PowerPad15C (Intelligent charge-only) can also be daisy-chained in the same manner.
