At the heart of the Studio Binding System is the Fastback 9 binder. The Fastback 9 binder quickly binds the individual sheets into an assembled book block, ensuring that the book contents are properly organized and aligned before stitching. In spite of its capabilities, the Fastback 9 takes up no more room on a desktop than an inkjet printer.

Fastback 9 Powis Stitcher Fastback Hardcover Guide
The Fastback 9 Binder is a thermal strip binder with a remarkably small footprint. It takes up no more space than an inkjet printer! The Fastback Stitcher is a powerful desktop system for stitching up to 50 sheets of book content. The final piece in the system is the Fastback Hardcover Guide, which makes assembling hardcover books a breeze.

Powis stitcher™ The Powis Stitcher is an electric, tabletop machine used to secure the bound book spine. The staples are quickly and precisely placed using the stitching table and foot pedal.

PRINT. Book contents are printed. Together with the endleaf sheets, these prints are called the book block.
bind. The book contents are assembled with the khaki strip to ensure that everything is aligned prior to stitching.
Hardcover Guide ™ The Fastback Hardcover Guide lets anyone make a professional-quality hard cover photobook in just seconds. With Fastback Hardcovers, assembly is simple. The Fastback Hardcovers are designed with the adhesive built in, eliminating messy glue pots. n
SECURE. The book block is then permanently secured with multiple stitches.
ASSEMBLE. The finished book block is attached to the adhesive panels of the Fastback Hardcover™. The Fastback® Hardcover Guide™ is used to accurately align the contents and the cover.
