Chapter 2: Installation Removing top panels 1. Loosen the 6 thumbscrews. 2. Pull the side panel backward and lift it to dismount.
Installing a motherboard 1. Lock the studs on the base of motherboard. 2. Remove the components installed on the motherboard, including the corresponsive slots of PCI card (Peripheral Component Interconnect) and AGP card (Accelerated Graphics Port). 3. Adjust the motherboard to fit in the motherboard basis, and fix the motherboard with the fix screws (40-4 and 40-16) bundled in the accessories pack. 4. Place the installed motherboard in the slot on the rear side of the case and then push it forward gently to reach its position. 5. Tighten the thumbscrews to fix it.

Installing a optical drive 1. Remove the meshed drive bay cover. 2. Install the optical drive through the opening of the front panel and align the four corresponsive screw positions of the optical drive and HDD bracket. 3. Tighten the optical drive with four 40-1 screws.
Installing a hard disk drive (HDD) 1. Locate a HDD into the HDD bracket and align the four corresponsive screw positions of the HDD and HDD bracket. 2. Tighten the HDD with two 40-16 screws.
Installing a power supply unit (PSU) 1. Tighten the rear panel in the PSU and align corresponsive screw positions. 2. Tighten the rear panel with four screws.
3. Install the PSU in the PSU bracket and align corresponsive screw positions. 4. Tighten the PSU with four screws.

Removing and installing a new fan 1. 1. Remove the bay cover. 2. Loosen the four mounting screws that secure the fan holder; then you can remove the fan holder smoothly as shown in the following figure. 3. Loosen the mounting screws that secure the fan and then remove the 12 cm cooling fan as shown in the following figure. 4. Locate the dual 8 cm fan in the fan holder and align corresponsive screw positions. Tighten the fan with 8 screws. 5. Perform the step 1 and 2 in reverse order to replace fan holder.
Replacing and cleaning the filter 1. Remove the bay cover from the case. 2. Remove the meshed screen and filter. 3. Cleaning and drying the filter up. Then perform the step 1 and 2 in reverse order to replace flter.

Please refer to the illustration on the section of USB2.0, IEEE 1394, and Audio connector from the motherboard user's manual. Please select the motherboard which used the same USB2.0, IEEE1394a, AC’97 standard as below; otherwise, it will cause damages to user's device(s).

NEVER connect an IEEE1394a cable to the USB2.0 connector. Doing so will damage the device.

NEVER connect a USB2.0 cable to the IEEE1394a connector. Doing so will damage the device.

On some motherboards, the connectors for IEEE1394a, USB2.0 and Audio are not the same as the drawing below. Please check with your motherboard manual before installing.
