Digital music for audiophiles - Peachtree Audio bring convergence to audio with its range of products that make the most of digital music files – no matter how it is stored or accessed. September 2010 - London - Computers Unlimited, the UK’s largest distributor of digital home products, is delighted to announce the UK launch of Peachtree Audio, the American audio company whose products link the divide between audiophiles and digital music.
The Nova has a storage port on its rear panel to fit a Sonos wireless zone player (ZXP90 shown).
With its ever-growing product line-up and extensive research and development, Peachtree Audio is quickly becoming the company that understands that digital music can be reproduced with the quality expected by the audiophile yet with the style and ease demanded by the consumer. Four products in one, the Nova is an integrated amplifier that features an 80 Watts per channel solid-state amplifier, a ‘Class-A’ valve, 3 analogue, 5 digital (2 x coax, 2 x optical and 1 x USB) input pre-amplifier (inc. preamplifier out and line out), a high-end headphone pre-amplifier stage and an on-board DAC. Utilising the ESS 9006 Sabre DAC with patented jitter reduction circuit, the quality of the Nova DAC would not be out of place on a product significantly more expensive.
/cont Home theatre by-pass (analogue input 3) allows for connection into an AV system and a rear-mounted Digital Filter Slope switch allows the user a degree of sound tuning when listening through the DAC (hard or soft). For those consumers using Sonos® multiroom wireless music systems, the Nova also features a slot in the back where a ZP90 zone player can be housed, reducing the appearance of multiple boxes and, when connected via the digital input, allowing for high-quality audiophile performance in any room.

Decco2 – 40 Watts per channel integrated amplifier with on-board DAC The second generation for the Decco series, the Decco2 is the smaller brother of the Nova and features a 40 Watts per channel integrated amplifier using the same ESS 9006 Sabre DAC as its bigger brother. Again featuring a ‘Class A’ valve pre-amplifier (this time with 2 x analogue and 3 x digital (1 x coax, 1 x optical and 1 x USB) inputs, pre-amplifier out and line out) and high-end headphone preamplifier, the Decco2 again features the same slot in the back for a Sonos® ZP90 zone player.

iDecco – The world’s first valve hybrid 40 Watts per channel integrated amplifier with ‘Pure Digital’ iPod dock and on-board DAC Based on the same specification as the Decco2 (40 Watts per channel power amplifier, ‘Class A’ valve preamplifier (1 x analogue input, pre-amplifier output, linelevel output) and high-end headphone stage), the iDecco features a top-loading ‘Pure Digital’ iPod dock for taking the signals from an iPod in their digital form before processing within the same on-board DAC as its other family members. This is by far the best way to get the music off an iPod and, as long as the music has been uploaded onto the iPod in its highest resolution, allows for near CD quality reproduction. An additional 3 digital inputs (1 x coax, 1 x optical and 1 x USB) complete the input line-up.
