The Pretium EDGE® modules provide the interface between the MTP® Connector on the trunk and the LC duplex jumpers that will then connect directly into the electronics. The LC duplex adapters feature hinged VFL-compatible shutters that move up and out of the way when the connector is inserted. Specially designed indents in the shutters ensure that the end faces of the connectors are never touched. These shutters replace the standard dust caps that typically once removed are never replaced, exposing the interior end faces to dust particles and possible damage.

The 12-fiber groupings enable efficient ribbonization and compatibility with the splice-on MTP Compatible connectors. The flexible, flame-retardant jacket and non-preferential bend axis allow easy installation in space-constrained areas and the all-dielectric cable construction requires no grounding or bonding.

Corning Cable Systems MIC 250 Plenum Cables utilize 250 µm color-coded optical fibers, surrounded by dielectric strength members with a flexible, flame-retardant outer jacket. This small-outside-diameter cable is recommended for the Pretium EDGE® SE Splice-On MTP® Solution as the jacketing of the cable provides additional protection for the fibers when used inside Pretium EDGE Housings with sliding trays.

The FuseLite® MTP® Compatible Splice-on Connector pairs with Pretium EDGE® modules and hardware for high-density data center connectivity without preengineered trunk lengths – ideal for applications with conduit limitations or where cable slack management is a concern. Available in single-mode and multimode, the FuseLite MTP Compatible Connector eliminates the need for splice trays and is compatible with leading fusion splicers in the market. The connector comes in two basic designs, for jacketed 2.9-3.3 mm round 12-fiber cordage and for bare ribbon cable.

The Pretium EDGE® Module Harness is designed to create a cross-connect point near the electronics by enabling port replication. This is possible with duplex LC connectors to interface with the electronics and a non-pinned MTP® Connector to connect into the back of a module. With port replication, your installation will look the same even after multiple moves, adds and changes (MACs). This can be used in a horizontal distribution area (HDA), as an example.

The Pretium EDGE® Trunk Harness is designed to facilitate an interconnect point when the electronics are located in a separate area than the cross-connect or patching field. This is possible with duplex LC connectors to interface with the electronics and pinned MTP® Connectors to connect into a trunk. This can be used in an equipment distribution area (EDA), as an example.

Pretium EDGE® MTP Jumpers allow for the seamless migration to higher data rates for multimode systems in the data center when used in conjunction with universal trunks. This jumper is based around pinned or non-pinned 12-fiber MTP Connectors. Pictured here are the three most common applications for this type of jumper to make ordering easier. All the jumpers listed have a TIA-568 Type-B polarity and are plenum rated.

Pretium EDGE SE pigtail modules provide the interface between the trunk cable and the LC duplex jumpers that will then connect directly into the electronics. The module has a 3-meter jacketed ribbon pigtail directly from the modules connectors to the rear of the module, and can be mass fusion spliced directly to ribbon cable. The LC duplex adapters feature hinged VFL-compatible shutters that move up and out of the way when the connector is inserted. Specially designed indents in the shutters ensure that the end faces of the connectors are never touched. These shutters replace the standard dust caps that typically once removed are never replaced, exposing the interior end faces to dust particles and possible damage.

Corning Cable Systems Ribbon Plenum Cables are designed for use in plenum, riser and general purpose environments for intrabuilding backbone installations and for high-fiber-count data centers. These cables consist of 12 to 216 fibers organized into 12-fiber ribbons inside a central tube. Precise fiber and ribbon geometries result in excellent mass fusion splicing yields. The cable is available in 62.5 µm, 50 µm and single-mode.

Corning Cable Systems Splice Trays use proven designs and fiber organization technology to provide optimum physical protection for fusion and mechanical splicing methods. The trays are engineered for use with both loose tube and tight-buffered optical cable designs. Their generous size prevents induced attenuation due to fiber bending. The SCF splice trays contain organizers for a variety of popular splicing methods. The fusion splice organizer holds and protects the actual splice, thereby eliminating the need for extra parts. Each mechanical splice organizer provides a positive holding action for maximum splice protection during installation and use.
