Procedure sheet. Procedure for assembling and mounting a MAC Panel Dual SCOUT Receiver to two Pickering 40-923-001 PXI Chassis' in a 19" Rack. You will need :
MAC Panel Tier Dual SCOUT Receiver (# 561605) MAC Panel Flange Kit x 2 (# 561635) MAC Panel Lower slide shelf (# 561637) MAC Panel Upper slide shelf (# 561638) Pickering 40-923-001 PXI Chassis x 2 #1 & #2 Philips Screwdrivers Slide shelf assembly instruction (IN91316 available on website) 19" Rack with 12U of clear space
Step 1) Secure flange kits to both chassis.

PXI Chassis x 2 (Pickering 40-923-001)
Step 1a) Remove feet and handles from both sides and bottom of the chassis.
Handle removed. (not visible) Bottom feet removed.
Step 1b) Using the screws provided with the flange kit, Secure both left and right flange plates to the side of the chassis.
* Note the two holes close together go to the bottom *

Flange kits are now properly secured to the PXI Chassis'. Retain supplied screws for later use. Creation Date :1/11/2012

Procedure sheet. Step 2) Mount sliding shelves into 19" Rack.
Upper Slide Shelf (# 561638)
Lower Slide Shelf (# 561637)
Step 2a) Mount the two slide shelves into the 19" rack using Instruction sheet IN91316 for guidence.
* this is available from the MAC Panel website under P/N's 561265, 561252 & 561253 *
Shelf Assemblies need to be mounted in the shown positions.

Step 2b) With both shelf assemblies fitted. Secure the UPPER chassis assembly into place first. This can be secured to the shelf via the feet holes removed in step 1a. The 4 hole positions in the shelf are shown below.

With the upper chassis secured in place repeat Step 2b for the LOWER chassis assembly.
Step 3) Attach the Dual Tier SCOUT Receiver to the flange plates.

Step 3a) Slide both shelf and chassis out of the rack and using the 6-32UNC countersunk screws provided with the flange kits, secure the Dual Tier SCOUT Receiver to the Flange plates.
* TWO PEOPLE REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THIS OPERATION *

Step 3b) Slide the whole assembly back into the 19" rack and secure using the long fixing screws in the receiver.
The Dual Tier SCOUT Receiver and both Chassis' are now accurately aligned and ready for use.
